I also picked up the shield EZ in 30 super carry for cheap. My carry gun is a Shield Plus in 30sc. The shield plus rocks. In more guns would come out in 30 super it w0uld be popular. You get more rounds in the magazine. Shield plus with flush mag holds 15 even though on paper they clame less. It easily holds an extra round.

They recon they look too tacticoool. Doesn’t matter if it’s frog green , pink or black , they are outlawed. .30 SC is supposed to actually be .32 in diameter and is basically to the .32 ACP what 9 mm is to the .380 or 10 mm is to .40 .I have read the reason it wasn't called something like .32 Super or the like was to distance it from the .32 ACP which isn't highly regarded.

I have this gun, I had it release the mags probably 3 times while carrying it in my holster, I have never had that problem with the regular shield or any gun for that matter, I reversed the mag release button to the other side and it hasnt happened since. The mag release button sticks out a good amount farther than the regular shield, I emailed them and got no reply, thats why the gun is so cheap I assume. Mine is the 15 or 16 round mag version with regular safety, not the one like you have.

30 Super Carry is to 5.7x28 mm what 300 BLK is to 5.56 mm Nato. It took a while for 300 BLK (and 5.7) to catch on, and I think it will be the same with 30 SC. The advantages it offers out of a short barrel and the extra capacity are enough to make it nice alternative to 9mm for civilians. I'm a believer as I routinely carry the Shield Plus in 30 SC and am eager for more handgun alternatives in this round. You won't be disappointed with the EZ or 30 SC!

I almost did the same deal when I saw it. I would have if it was the shield plus version. I think if 30 super carry was closer to the middle of 380 and 9mm it might have caught on. How much ammo do you think you’ll stock for it?

Sadly I still don't think it would have caught on. They was trying to fix something that noone asked for, but me as a gun lover I love it. It's something not common and brand new. I'll probably habe 1,300 rounds of it and I'll only shoot about 300 of it and save the other for future use if it goes away in the future.

Federal ramped up a .32 to 55,000 psi to equal or best 9mm velocity, and pretty much the same energy if not better. Plus more mag capacity. Why not.

So cheap because the caliber was a solution in search of a problem. S&W and Nighthawk are the only two (I think) manufacturers making guns in this caliber, and not many people want them. With no real support in the market place, the late great Paul Harrell called it “the Betamax of calibers.”

How does 30 supercarry compare to 9mm. Calibers like that are great calibers they just don't provide anything better than the NATO cartridges. I love the 7-30 waters caliber in a lever action rifle, but it's hard to find. The gun itself is worth quite a bit if you can find the right buyer.

It's in general the same ballistics, but you get 2-3 more rounds capacity with 30 sc. That's really the only pro.

I like that caliber from what I've seen on tests here on KZbin. I had a 380 EZ and it's the only gun I bought new and sold it off. I just couldn't shoot it well. Probably just me and the way it worked with my hands if that makes sense. It felt good in the hand but like I said I was awful shooting it. Lol

Apparently the powers- that- be think the firearms industry needed a shakeup. This reply is all in good fun. BODY GAURD 30 super carry. The idea that 380 is for weak people or for the elderly is but one valid concept but the other great thing about the 380 is that you can have a tiny micro pocket gun. But they are just too weak.Now smith and Wesson comes out with the awesome bodyguard 2.0 with the barrel size of 380 or 9 mm . Know if only they would bore a smaller barrel in 30 super carry they could accomplished something great. Think about it, a pocket gun that actually has enough velocity to shoot a hollow point that could actually expand and do its job. I’m so disappointed in this company that refused to utilize the 30 super carry to its greatest potential as a pocket gun. Makes me sick every time somebody says oh it would have too much recoil. That’s BS. The body guard in 30 super carry would be the best gun on the market. I am not the only one that feels this way. Smith and Wesson could save 30 super carry if they really wanted to buy introducing 30 super bodyguard.

30S is one of the caliber I consider..."Fast food". --> Fast food calibers. Once a while you drop by Burger King and buy a burger or something however at the same time you need to beware that it's not good for your wallet and health to do this 24/7. These calibers are just like fast food. Not good for your wallet due to their cost and not good for your health because that money can be use or saved up for something. 😂

I've yet to see a single pistol chambered in .30 SC or even a box of ammo in the caliber on the shelves or in the cases of the gun stores in my area. Since, for personal and professional reasons, I have little or no faith in the 9 Minimal why in the world would I want a pistol chambered in an even less effective personal defense round? The .30 SC was DOA from day one.

It was a dumb idea (30 Super Cary) at a really dunb time (ammo shortages) with zero good reasons. My suggestion is load up on ammo and magazines and buy some reloading dies. 30 Super Carry is headed to the dust bin. Its probably an ok round but it won't ever catch on.

Merry Christmas! While I think that 30sc is a flash pan round trying to make its mark in the firearms world, I think they awnsered a question that was never asked or even thought of. Now from what Ive seen its a capable round but what dose it do that 9mm dosent? I can see where it gives 380 a run for the money, but its a lil too late in firearms history to try to bump 380 into the dead caliber colum. Its a cool pickup for the price, but for me I would have passed on it. I just think they are trying to unload their invintory cause it didnt catch on like they thought. The 1 thing 30 sc does over 9mm Is capacity. That's it. The extra 2-3 rounds and same ballistics is very nice!

Im not even a big fan of 9mm, Im more of a .40sw/.357 mag kinda guy.😆 So to each their own and atleast someone got a gun for Christmas this year lol. I didnt have one picked out this Christmas that made me wanna commit to buying one this year. So I just got some ammo for the ones I have and we will see what happens in this comming year if something jumps out at me.

It's so close to 9mm that people just stuck with 9. 9 has and always will be most popular and irs proven itself. It's nato. There's so many good reasons to choose 9mm and 380 over 30 sc. But 30 sc at the same time isn't pointless and it's not junk.

@@GunActivities365 I have kept track of prices. You can get 30sc for under 20 a box. 380 overall ended up costing more and unreliable. People don't understand the difference between prepared and EDC. It's built for EDC and exceeds at it. It's not meant to be a full size with a large 9mm mag. It's for concealment, in and out, get you home. Micro 9s are crossing that boundary where you should realistically switch to 30sc. However people keep buying unreliable 380s because it's "available". 30SC is limited production and reliable. Regular pocket 380s, fine alright it's small for a reason. Then when you see something like a Ruger Security 380 being almost identical to the Security 9, that's when you have to ask why not a Security 30SC with a 17 round magazine?

I'll disagree. For 1 30 super carry IS NOT cheaper to buy. For 2, 380 IS NOT unreliable. I have no clue where that even comes from? Maybe give me an idea on that, because that's an absolutely absurd statement. 30 sc is roughly 20$ per box correct? 380 is roughly $16-18 per box correct?

@GunActivities365 ballistics tests say unreliable. People are paying top dollar for 380 hollow points that wouldn't expand half of the time. Keep in mind that 30sc is turning 3 years old. This data is based on it being released on the height of a massive shortage. Southern Defense keeps range boxes consistent pricing between 15-20 a box. While 380 was harder to get and almost everything around was bad loads. I had a hard enough time feeding my 380s for testing. 30sc was always in stock.

I only buy guns from psa if that is the only option available. I hate that not only do they charge tax and shipping but shipping insurance as well. I buy guns online so i dont have to pay tax.
