your bloody Mary tank has active substrate? i keep a colony of about 150 bloody mary total initially put them in a buffering active substrate then since lots of shrimp keepers recommend ALWAYS inert substrate. i decided to split the colony in two for some reason the colony in the active substrate does better than the inert set up? i see more breeding going on in the active substrate tank. when i saw your neos in the active substrate it caught my atention. wat works better for you?

Do you keep your pintos away from your bolts so that you don’t dilute the genes? I’m trying to understand shrimp genetics

Are your tanks salt water or fresh? Shrimp selection is pretty limited for fresh water here and all but ghost wood and bamboo shrimp are the only ones I could actually locate in the stores tanks for the most part. They said they where in there somewhere but I wasn't able see them.

OMG love love the angel fish!! Koi angels and that all black one! Man those I would love to have ! Beauties ❤ And bristlenose plecos to, cool ! Albinos or ? Ive got 2 left of my German Super Reds..... after like 4 batches of fry I got overwhelmed with the constant water changes since they need feeding so often, I separated the parents and later on sold them to a local friend. Ive got 2 left from all the babies - must have been 100 or so in total over the past year ughh lol ! Sold them all locally or traded them into my local fish store.. Seeing your tanks makes me crave new fish! Thanks Nate for helping keep my love for aquariums sparked 😉

OMG those angels are gorgeous!!! Was that a tuxedo guppy? Not familiar with all the guppy types myself. Those pintos & king kongs... man they seem so intimidating to maintain. I'm going to start with some glass &/or grass shrimp since they're native to N. America, but I want to get into these ornamentals too...

Do you recommend a tank with no substrate?
@SooShrimpBreeders4 жыл бұрын
You can. I think it's a little harder to keep a stable tank due to not as much area for micro bacteria
