TRIGGER SPECS: Sorry about not including them in the video. I left it out by mistake. Trigger pull weight is consistent 5lbs 10oz. Smooth take up then slight wall of resistance and crisp break. Reset is short and crisp as well. Thanks for watching.

Got my new HK VP9 SK and took it to the range. Sootch, it was everything you said it was! Excellent shooter, minimal muzzle flip, deadly accurate from 30 ft and less, absolutely flawless operation, great sight picture with stock sights and it felt great in my hand. The pistol begs you to shoot it All in all one of the best pistols I've ever shot. This pistol makes a novice look good. Thanks Sootch for a great revue. I just switched my carry gun to the vp9sk about a month ago. I like being able to really play around with the grip and get the perfect fit. For me, the best fit was the small backstrap and medium side panels. I chose this pistol over Glock 19 and Walther PPQ. This pistol has a lot of wow factor to it when you first pick it up. Also, I just added the 13 round magazine and for me, the ergonomics were better than the pinky extension on the 10 round. I combine the pistol with the BlackPoint Tactical IWB holster. It's a great combination that works well for me.

My My order for the LE came in yesterday. It feels and shoots like a dream. I think I need an intervention as this is my third H&K within a year. Once you get hooked on the quality, craftsman and accuracy it's hard to settle for less particularly if you're a left handed shooter.

I have the VP9SK in FDE. I purchased the 13 rd mags that are basically the same size as the 10 rd mags with the pinky extension. I shoot this gun better than any other striker-fires pistol I have ever tried. I like it MUCH better than the Glock 19 I used to have.

Great video sootch !! I liked hearing all the H&K details. You must have enjoyed shooting the vp9SK. You’r body language was easy to read . First 308 cal rifle I had was an H&K. It was almost imposable to miss anything shooting the rifle. Nothing but top quality in their firearms.

I've shot about 2500 rounds through my VP9SK LE, she is one sweet shooter, especially with the 13 or 15 round SK magazines. She';s not cheap, but she's worth every penny.

Got this right after i got my new drivers license in my new home state. Id shot enough Glocks to know how it feels and thr HK surpasses the Glock by a wide margin. Thr eronomics are supsrior wirh 3 sets of grip panels. Thr charging ears actually help racking the slide. The paddle mag release work better than button release. Just an amazing pistol and lives up to HKs reputation for reliability and innovation.

The G26GEN5 is a Great reliable simple pistol. Sold mine for a HK VP9 SK which is Superior, uber ergonomic. And thats what matters. Great in the hand.👍👍

Look at these used. In my area I found a VP9SK LE with 4 10 rd mags, 2 13 round mags, an olight mini Valkyrie 2 light and custom holster that was made with the light in carbon fiber finish for $700 for the entire package.

I wish the sk was a 12 rounder for how big it is. Just like I wished the full size version held 17 rounds. The glock 26 holds the same amount and is smaller. As much as I want to buy a vp9 because of the trigger and ergos I can't stray away from my glocks. Seems like a great gun though. Thanks for the info!

What's sold me on the VP9 is how well I shoot it compared to all other striker guns I've shot, that is more then worth the slight loss of mag capacity.

They do make the 13 rd mags now for it (I know your comment is a yr+ old so you probably know), but they're great - they're the same size as the 10 rd mags w/the pinky extension, and are an excellent size for EDC

I purchased this same gun Friday. Ive shoot freedom munitions for years. About 6000 rounds a year of freedom. 124grain reman. I shot 150 and had 7 failure to go into battery. I'll try 115 grain and see how that shoots

Watch Hughes Enterprises test of the HK VP9. He dunks it and submerges it in water, mud, and it fired. He also submerged the HK VP9 underwater, pulled the trigger and the HK VP9 fired. I love my HK VP9 (FDE color). It’s a sturdy, tough, good reliable HK striker fired firearm.

Fired one today for the first time and it out shot my g17 and 26 that I shoot regularly. Great trigger, very compact, nice night sights, soft shooter, but a weak reset which is a shame. Still, probably the best gun in the g26-g19 mkt for the money. If I bought one, I’d probably ditch my g26 even though it’s slightly bulkier. Like to see it in 40.

Like most, I've gone through several pistols before settling on a firearm to carry every day. Starting with a Ruger SR9c and going through the small 380's and even a NAA 22 mag before finally coming to the glock 26. I've been truly happy with the 26. HOWEVER, this pistol has me thinking. At the end of his review, Sootch mentioned a torture test on the vp9sk that didn't go so well, sample of one. I've seen otherwise. Check out Alabama arsenals review of the hkvp9sk. It goes through sand, water, gets run over by a truck, and finally, is shot by a shotgun twice and keeps on firing. 🙃

Sootch, I watched both your P30SK & VP9SK reviews and you seem to really like both. I believe I remember you saying the P30SK (LEM) would be your new carry gun. Is that because you prefer hammer vs. striker or are there of features you liked about the P30SK? Or, is it just because you got your hands on a P30SK first!? Being an older guy who learned on wheel guns and 1911s, I lean toward hammer fired, but I have many strikers I like very well too. Is there anything beyond personal preference that would make you buy one of these two HKs over the other?
