Kudos to Armscor. While cleaning my XT-22, one of the smallest parts had been lost. A message was sent to Armscor asking for their help in replacing the part. Within an hour, on an evening, they had replied and sent me an email address to contact customer support. Within an hour of my contacting Armscor's customer support, they had assigned a ticket to my request for help. Customer service requested from me a little more information. That sent, support said the part would be on its way to me. In a world of not-my-problem, Armscor stepped up to help. I already liked Armscor's products and now their standing behind their product has solidified my loyalty to them. Thank you, Armscor.

First gun I ever fired was the Rock Island Armory 1911 .45 ACP. I was scared to shoot the infamous 45, but once I started I couldn't stop. I've gone shooting two more times since then, and love the good ol' 45. Have some trouble maintaining accuracy with speed, but if I really hold firm to it I can hit whatever I want. So far the 1911 is the greatest autoloading pistol I have ever seen.

Great vid Sootch00. I've had a RIA .45 for at least 5 years. Put well over 2000 rounds through it and have never had any problems. Have a friend that has a Para-Ordinance 1911, and we shot them both side by side. We both preferred the RIA. LOL!!!

Now that things have normalized and you can find .22LR in bulk for reasonable prices again, I've started shooting it again. Man I forgot how much fun .22LR was. A .22 anything is fun, this Rock River 1911 looks like a blast.

Years ago I had an opportunity to purchase the then-new Colt/Walther .22-45 for an excellent price (right st $250.00 IIRC) so I did and never looked back. It isn't a true M1911A1 full-sized pistol I'll grant you but thus far I've not had a single hiccup at all. The only downside is there were no spare mags to he had initially, but that problem has been taken care of. Now with this full-sized variant I can see myself liking it. A LOT. But the price, while not outlandish, is a bit steep IMO and I'm holding off a bit until they (maybe) come down in price. I'm just choking on the asking price right now. Still, I'm liking this pistol enough that it looks like it will be able to join the stable of other goodies in the safe and still be able to practice with without breaking the bank. I hope. Great job on the review and I appreciate your candid reviews of the gear you test on your show. Be Safe, God Bless. Long Live the Republic and all that Jazz.

Thanks for your review, that's a nice pistol! I love the fact that you can separate the barrel from the frame and give it a proper cleaning and maintenance. I hate the 22s that have a fixed barrel attached to the frame, they're a pain in the butt to clean them! Once again, thank you for yr review and for all you do for our gun community. By the way sootch00... you look tired. I hope everything is going well.

i love my 2-tone standard fs model. i bought mine used with (4) colt 8 round mags and houge grips that makes it so comfortable to shoot for 500. the only thing i had to do was paint the front sights red to make it stand out more since its just flat black.

September of 2020 , I cant find just the 22 long rifle version of this . Everyone tells me just to buy the 45 and 22 long rifle combination set . I'm thinking about ordering it and sending it to my dealer for paperwork. Been waiting to update my 45 slide anyway, I'm getting to have problems seeing the sights on my old government model. Hopefully itll have the same sights as my 10mm and 9mm 22tcm combo.

I was thinking WOW an actual all steel, 1911 based 22LR! And I've been really impressed with my RIA .45 too. Yeah, the price is maybe a bit steep but for a quality all steel gun I could live with that. Then I saw that it didn't have a last round hold open. :-( Shame on you RIA! It has the notch on the slide, and it has the bolt stop... what gives? Not sure what you meant about that being "typical". All of my .22 pistols have a last round hold open. AND the .22 Magnum version does function as it should in this regard. They should have designed the magazines, or redesigned the bolt catch to make it work like a proper gun, IMO. Oh well, guess I'll pick up a new Mark IV 22/45 Tactical instead...

Hey Sootch, great review as usual. But I don't understand why you have to remove the slide plug to put the recoil spring/guide back in. Why can't you just reverse the disassembly? Or alternatively, install and compress the spring/guide and then slide the barrel in. Just curious about why the extra steps.

Hello Sootch, fairly new to your channel maybe last year or so,, have watched many of your older videos especially on CCW and home defense.. Thank you ... really appreciate your scriptural over tone and commitment to our country.. a little off topic, but would appreciate your thoughts regarding how often to alternate loaded magazines .. I have my concealed carry and a couple of other pistols for home defense , how often would you recommend changing out mags so as to not have mag spring fatigue monthly, or ?? also if you use fmj for defense loads heavier or lighter .. 115/147.. many thanks for your great videos God's Blessings.. MM

@QarthCEO7 жыл бұрын
All 22's are cheaper to feed, that goes without saying. But it makes absolutely no sense for a 22LR version of a 1911 to be more expensive than it's full sized brother. Beretta's M9-22 is awesome, holds 15 rounds, and is 350 bucks; alot cheaper than a full size M9. That's how it's supposed to be. Not to mention you can get Colt's all metal 1911-22 for a hundred bucks less than the Rock Island or even Sig's 1911-22. 450 bucks for this Armscor 22lr pistol makes no sense.
@QarthCEO7 жыл бұрын

well i dunno much about american pricing on firearms, given im not american, but is it not logical that (i assume) bigger manufacturer like colt can sell cheaper given their size and/or market-deals? The 1911 is a colt pattern is it not?
