@esterjustino31533 жыл бұрын
they didn't expect for her to bring a bit of her culture to the mv. She's a global superstar, and by wearing thai clothes and having a set that reminds of Thai temples brings visibility to Thailand, also, their respect for her automatically rises because she never forgets her roots. Korea is extremely xenophobic towards SEA ppl, so Lisa bringing her culture to her solo shows how much she doesn't care for the prejudice she suffers and proudly shows where she came from, I would've shouted to
@googleaccount46853 жыл бұрын
If Koreans are extremely xenophobic, then how come Lisa became one of the most loved star in Korea as well as Nickhun of 2PM?
@esterjustino31533 жыл бұрын
@@googleaccount4685 lol she's not, Jennie is the most famous kpop female in Korea, Lisa is the most famous kpop female internationaly. What happens is that citizens in Korea hate SEA ppl because they think of themselves as 'superior' as them. Most of them refers to her as the foreigner of the group (in a bad way), when she broke the KZbin record, k netizens were heavily hating on her because she is from SEA Lisa suffers since debut, a lot of of netizens calls her m-word and a lot of other racists terms, she's constantly boycotted by the company and by the korean GP, there was a point where they started to jump at her with constant death threats, someone even dared to shout at her in a interview saying' f* you you're blocking the vision'. The company doesn't let her see her family in years and every chance to promote a brand she is ambassador is hard because they make it ten times hard to have her present in an event, also, her solo promotions.. where are they? They are not letting her go to any shows to promote in Korea, there was only one she went to (Inkigayo) and I'm sure is the last one because usually their promotions are for 2 weeks. YG constantly changes her schedule (it was confirmed by her) and they didn't let her promote in the first week just because they don't feel like it. They can't accept the fact that she's one of the pilars of the group that make them famous, trust me, when I started following them I thought that she was as equally loved there, but koreans hate seeing a foreigner (and a SEA) being sucessful representing kpop Korea doesn't deserve Lisa, that girl must have an extremely thought mind to go through what she goes, but what matters is that she is loved outside of that toxic country, I hope she and the other girls don't renew the contract and search for something better, what they pass through there is unacceptable
@googleaccount46853 жыл бұрын
@@esterjustino3153 Wow, I'm Korean but I never heard nor seen what you said. I never had a thinking that I am 'superior' in a way that just I'm Korean. I love Lisa as herself. And I'm so glad she could have a chance to represent her backgrounds to the world. Jennie is loved the most just because she is cute. PERIOD. There's no conspiracy needed in this matter. As I remember, the most popular member of 2P.M. in Korea was surely Nicgkuhn(นิชคุณ หรเวชกุล) from Thai who now is the executive director of JYP. Why? 10years ago? Because he was the most handsome one of them. PERIOD. You may seem to have some distorted idea from getting limited biased informations of internet. You have to understand that many of those things you hear and see are not true at all. Your extreme hate and prejudice against Koreans makes me sad. One of my best friend is from 🇵🇭. I served in the US Army as KATUSA for my duty and the most loved and respected NCO of the battalion that I worked with was an old lady from 🇵🇭. I never looked down on them and many Koreans will do the same. As I know, Koreans are VERY xenophobic to one country which is China. If Chinese ppl accuse me or Koreans of racist against China, I can't deny that because that's true. But against Thai? I never had that kind of thinking nor many average Koreans will.

@user-rt3vj9rj5q lmao what? They most definitely were racist. But it was only some people. It wasn't everyone cause it never can be everyone. She has an amazing amount of support everywhere and of course she has korean fans but facts are facts. How they treated her in her trainee days and as a new artist in Korea was atrocious, family has talked about it and about how they didn't want to pay her like the other girls , once she was beloved by so many it was suddenly loke they had no choice but to treat her better. K netizens specifically can be absolutely viscous to members who aren't korean and you know that so why are you offended by the truth. She had to fight to get to where she is now and we are all super proud of her. so stop talking nonsense.

I'm korean and I literally shed in tears in this moment of the video. THIS is the climax. THIS is the best. It shows and is a perfect representation of SEA culture being so diverse and colorful. I got goosebumps too. That crown is sooooo beautiful. She would have experienced a lot of racism in Korea but she have overcome and fuck the shit out by showing how talented she is, how powerful she is, and how strong she is in her heart. I have been watching her since debut and she took my attention the most. She looked stunning, and still is. No wonder why she became this famous. The casting team really did an excellent job. Became global ambassader of Celine and Bvlgari. Invited to state banquet by the King (Charles), interviews and love calls from so many different international talking shows. It's so meaningful that SEA culture is becoming more recognized. One thing that I wanted more is that there's no single word of Thai language. But still, this is brilliant.
