Sopa de fideo & Picadillo | SIMPLE EASY RECIPE | Kid-approved!

I’m sharing with you all how I make my sopita caldosa de fideo & carne con papas (picadillo)
Both of these recipes can be made many different ways. Please feel free to modify to your liking.
This recipe is simple, affordable yet filling! I hope you all enjoy.

Ingredients for fideo:
• 1 pack of fideo
• 4/5 slices of onion
• 1 clove of garlic
• 1 Can of tomato sauce
• 6 cups of water or chicken broth
• chicken bouillon to taste
Ingredients for picadillo:
• 1lb ground beef
• 2 potatoes
• 1/4 of an onion (chopped)
• 1 Can of corn
• 1 jalapeño (optional)
• 1/2 Can of tomato sauce
• 2 cups of water
• chicken bouillon to taste
• salt & pepper to taste

Thank you! I have been making Fideo con Papas for most of my life, but forgot since it has been a few years, I have never made my fideo seperately, it’s not how I was taught. But tonight I followed your directions only addition was Rotel to my meat and potatoes!

I’ve always loved these dishes bc we were poor and ate them all the time growing up. But poor or not it was soooo good. I knew it was simple to make and I’m so glad I know how to make it now! And your kids at the end bring back so many memories of when I was little. Loved the video.

Sopa was my favorite as a kid . And beans with flour tortillas! I'm now a type 2 diabetic,so I have to measure and count my carbs. That Knorr bouillon has maltodextrin which is worse than sugar for me.

I like to use mixed frozen veg mix, and add one medium potato in my picadillo. And, I like to roast/toast the fideo is about 3 shades darker. But this looks pretty good too.
