To anyone who’s going to buy the foundation, you need to shake it before every use. Or it’s going to accentuate your dry patches. It looks stunning and is perfect for everyday use especially if you want the naturally gorgeous no makeup look. Edit: Shade Joy and Bliss are the prettiest blushes in existence. Please buy them if you haven’t. You will not regret it.

I have dry patches on my skin but for me, even after shaking it well, it still emphasised them and didn't stay on my face throughout the day. Which was disappointing because the coverage was very natural and the colour match was perfect.

FUN FACT: when you see interviews with Selena Gomez, the reason behind the design of Rare Beauty is very cool and brilliant! Some products have a flat side so that when you set it down it doesn't roll. The foundation,blush, concealer have a ball lid so that it's easier to grip! She designed the packaging that way to make it easier to handle/open and close. Especially for people with arthritis or lupus(Selena Gomez has lupus), or anyone who has a health condition that limits them from opening/closing or handling things.

I think the flat edge on packaging is to stop it rolling on a surface. I know Selena has mentioned the packaging is designed for easier use by people with mobility problems etc so I love that it’s more inclusive than so many brands

I'm honestly obsessed with Rare Beauty. I feel like they took the concept of Fenty Beauty but for a tamer, more toned down glam demographic and it works. It's very wearable and I think anyone looks good with those colors, even for daily looks. I think I need some lippies and a blush now lmao.

I’m so happy that Robert is getting more recognition for his work. He changed the whole world on how we use concealer. We followed Mario’s triangles now we follow Robert’s dot and lift 😂 that’s what I call it cause thats what it does 😂

Robert always mentions that he doesn't like getting credit for that concealer technique because it's actually a makeup technique that's been around for a long time & something that's taught in Makeup School. He did however introduce a lot of people to that concealer technique through his KZbin Channel & TikTok, while also educating us on why it works better than the giant concealer triangles 😅

Mario actually used to bright with a lighter concealer a lot only on Kim and JLO. His works on models are waaay different. Also their olive skin really benefits from color correction and highlight because they have heavy dark circles and discoloration

I love everything i have tried from rare beauty. Selena did a brilliant job with packaging and formulas. The mascara is my new favorite, it doesn’t smudge at all. i took a nap the other day and woke up and my lashes still looked good! crazy

Luckily for me I'm in the US so I've had these products since the initial launch. I have dry skin and my face loves just about everything. One thing to note, cause I noticed you mentioned it a couple times, is the flat side of the items like the balms are so they don't roll off of flat surfaces, and also can be gripped better. She eas very selective with her choices since she has lupus and wanted to keep others who deal with different arthritis issues in mind!

That liquid eyeshadow is so pretty. I'm gonna get some myself. I love peachy/rosey/bronze colors. They compliment blue eyes so well 💙 Edit: Ok guys I got the Mauve, Berry, Nude, Apricot shade and I LOVE THESE. It helps to do one lid at a time. Takes a little longer and you have to layer the product at least twice to get really beautiful pigment. I like to pair it with a glitter or metallic liner.

For my dry skin, I find I have to use the illuminating primer with their foundation to get it to stay. If I use other primers, it just breaks apart! This vid was so fun!!

Loved Rare Beauty and what the brand stands for. I had the foundation, the soft pinch blush, the dewy balm and lip souffle. Super loved. Some of the packaging has a flat side so that the items wont fall and roll over from your vanity. Thats what Selena explaining her products. 😍

Soph, you need to shake the foundation really well it actually has a mixing ball inside. You need to shake it well because the foundation separates which might explain why it felt oily. Hope this helps! Love the review!! 😍❤️ P.S. you need to try the foundation brush. I now use it every time I apply foundation (i have 2 of them!). I use the brush to blend it in and then a wet sponge to even everything out. The concealer brush is also really good as well, it’s like a mini version of the foundation brush. The shape of both brushes is also really innovative and practical.

I have a similar skin type and I picked up the foundation and concealer when I was on holiday in the states. I usually use the luminizing primer on top of moisturizer and spf and it helps with my dry patches. I also find that if I use a lot of the foundation it goes more patchy. I usually use just one swab of the doe foot for my whole face. Also make sure to shake the bottle before you apply. Editing to add that I think the liner you got was slightly broken as it shouldn’t have leaked when you opened it and I vaguely remember it happened to another reviewer when they first launched and they got it replaced?

The reason the concealer is so light is because Selena made the concealers lighter than the foundations. So you should order the same concealer shade as your foundation shade because it will already be lighter.

Selena designed the packaging to be easier for those with hand pain, like arthritis, to open. Hence the round tops of bottles, and the flat edge on the round packaging. Perfectly round lipsticks and the like can be difficult to open sometimes. Also, they won't roll away ☺️

That's funny, I thought the same about the sizes when i got my order. I was like "that looked way bigger in the 500 reviews I watched". :D But I'm actually happy that the products aren't bigger because I need so little of them. I absolutely love everything I got. I've never had make up that looks SO good on my skin and melts into it so nicely over a whole day. I saved up for it to reward myself for finishing my degree and was kinda scared of spending that much money on make-up that I couldn't physically try out - but everything worked out really well. My tip for the foundation would be to use way less (kind of that it seems like too little) and just add more coverage with the foundation or a concealer where needed. On me it looks bad when I use too much (which is probably a normal amount in any other foundation). :)
