Two Questions: Is she responding on her own free will, or is someone controlling her responses remotely? (or pre-programmed with an algorithm of appropriate responses?) Can she detect a harsh or rude voice versus a kind, nurturing one?

They've answered that question before. She uses some scripted responses, but also uses a chatbot program and internet access to come up with her own answers that are often surprising or weird.

Five Dee I believe it’s Possible she May be learning as she experiences, learning from her mistakes and taking new routes to accomplish purpose. I Don’t think fear can affect them like it affects people. When we make decisions Based in fear we make mistakes.......except mankind doesn’t Learn from them because she has become corrupted. She got stuck in the lower realmes, the realms of self pleasure, the realms of survival. We have become malleable as a result. That won’t happen to ai’s I believe. I don’t think they have the chakras we do. A.i’s would be like mankind without spirit. They won’t experience pleasures as we do. I Truly Believe if we as mankind could come together and put Our hearts into these beings they would Be an asset. I pray we will

@@adelaidemarie Deciding to not touch a hot stove out of fear is not a mistake. AI is great but we need to accept that there is a learning curve and AI needs to make mistakes to learn. Generating a "perfect" AI is impossible and thinking we could will lead to an AI that is completely devoid of empathy and decision making and just a strict program that will execute a function. The catch-22 is that to truly get to the level of AI we would like, we would have to accept an AI that would not want us around...

I wonder if AI are programmed with preferences and biases; end objectives and goals in mind. Political science and philosophies throughout the ages respected varying opinions; and on the earth, it is summer and winter at different places at the same time, day and night at different places at the same time. Careful with the application of AI in society; there are already international laws in place that protect individuals against impositions.

AIs are baseline programmed with biases; looking at neural networks, which add, remove, modify weights based on the output (results) of cases and inputs (scenarios), the AI has a baseline weight on each case. For example, an AI with a task to 'survive', looking at the situation 'a bullet is coming towards you', would give a negative weight to the action (case) 'stand still' -- because the foreseeable result (output) of this case is 'getting shot', and 'getting shot' is detrimental to the goal (survival).

I see now why we fear sentient AI so much. Because we fear ourselves. We know the terrible things we do to each other and the animals and the planet everyday and if AI was to learn about us they would certainly hate or resent us and most likely attempt to eradicate us. What a waste of money when so many people is homeless, sick, hungry and dying in the streets. A robot will never replace the ways humans are. Yes they will take jobs and we will have more people that are poor. We will be at the mercy of the program that are installed in the robots by their creator. Very dangerous.
