I really do feel terrible for her family, friends and girlfriend, and obviously they have lost a major person in their lives. Even more, in interviews Sophie has said that people obsessing over gender and pronouns is counterproductive to the music being produced. Sophie had so many people in the comments of "It's Okay To Cry" talking only about gender that Sophie even explicitly said the outpour of "yasss queens" is harmful to the music. Sophie just want's people to listen to the music (and btw, hasn't even explicitly stated to go by feminine pronouns)

When I was new to Sophie I was honestly put off by the people commenting all that weird gender shit, or like she's a saviour of Transgender people or some shit, like it had nothing to do with the music in my opinion. Someone so concerned with an interviewer "misgendering" Sophie (who hasn't even publicly stated preferred pronouns) is the same kind of person to like ANY trans artist/person just because they're trans. I've liked Sophie since before the Boiler Room sets. I liked Sophie before Sophie even showed his/her face publicly, because I've always genuinely liked the music.
