Can I ask how you trained Chip to stay close to you when he's off the leash? We have a yellow lab, she'll be one next month, but I'm terrified to let her off the leash. I'm so afraid she will run away or go up to other people to say hi

I have a yellow lab too and we were the same! We got a training lead, it's 30 ft long and used that to practise recall. Give a treat when they come back. When you ar comfortable let them off th lead in an enclosed space to practise recall then take it from there! X
