Wow some people have no scruples. I apologize for the tasteless rude comments of brainless twit's anyhoo Sophie thank you for your interest and intelligent method to give us this lesson alot of who say but that all just a hearsay they play the song cover their fingers looks like a waste of extra effort just so we don't see where and what they are doing. Props to you hope we have you for a while and that they don't talk you into hiding your amazing lessons from us thank you.

Hey, good work on the course! I've found part 2 onwards is really what separates you from the herd by far. It feels like others gloss over some things like the Pentatonic Scale, but you make a point to emphasise why it's important to have dialled, and defining a clear standard to achieve before moving on. Thanks for the work you put it to get these lessons out there. Know you helped at least one person smash through some plateaus!

Thank you so much, it’s amazing to hear it’s helped you already! I wanted to tap into some of the things lots of us don’t learn until we’re years down the road, but definitely could’ve learned in the earlier stages. Totally wish I’d learned the modes when I was approaching intermediate but I didn’t get round to it for yeaaaars later!

Brilliant course🤩 Sophie , luv the way the camera is uniquely positioned so the subscriber gets a personal Sophie eyed view of the fretboard and fingers . Makes learning so much easier 👍🙏

8:45 when you move frome E power cord to F. Would it not be more comfortable to play the 5th(B) of E using middle finger instead of index? That would be easier to swap to F without moving the index from the 5th to the 6th string.

Great lesson, well explained. Being pedantic, if you listen to the clean intro on the original recording, the G note rings out over the subsequent notes, so the G should be played on the open string, rather than 5th fret of the D string. Just for authenticity!

I belive the intro is played slightly different. Instead of fret V on D string, play and let ring open G

Was always under the impression that the 5th fret on the D string during the intro riff was left to ring out as you finished the riff. You'd have to use all your fingers.

It was pointed out in another tutorial that Hetfield anchors his pinky on the e note and his ring finger on the g to allow the g to ring out. I tried playing it like that and it's pretty awkward.
