I love the song Sultans of Swing and the group Dire Straits, I like how you played it because it's hard to imitate Mark Knopfler. I look around me and I can’t find words to adequately express the awesomeness of the things I see in this world, particularly with respect to human achievements. Top of my long list are the amazing things that Olympic gymnasts can do and how incredibly-talented musicians like Sophie can bring warmth to our spirits with their amazing abilities. Music is wonderful in an almost magical way in that it can really trigger our emotions (I’ve sometimes had tears in my eyes when listening to some of the songs I’ve played on my car stereo, “Nobody’s Child” by Karen Young and “Wind Beneath My Wings” by Bette Midler spring to mind). If there is an afterlife, as I believe there is, I’d love to ask God to let me experience for a few minutes, what someone like Sophie is feeling and thinking when she’s playing her guitar, as it’s a complete mystery to me. Keep it up Sophie; you’re helping to add joy to our world and given the bad things that are happening in some places, we really need some of that right now. God bless you.
