Thank you the warm up gave result immediately. I have went to some lesson´s but I can´t really do the worm up fully on my own properly so this helps a lot. When I feel my voice and body giving this hard but steady vibration´s usually it means that I got a lot of strenght without pusing myself hard at all. It all comes flowingly.

Started singing in a band and looking for quick tips to help me out with some areas and WOW. I have to say, out of all I had just mentioned you are by FAR the best instructor, at least for me. Try an NG sound and focus the sound in your mask (mustache area and bridge of your nose). Do a couple of small scales throughout your vocal range, as this is most likely your mix voice that needs to be strengthened. Hope that helps!

Janice Jacobs After 2 months of practice 1 hour a day without stopping and also focus on high notes by download a piano program on my pc and work these notes which i want and that's did great for me. first half hour or 20 minutes warmup and about 30-45 minutes playing on that piano and shouting with it i go low and high and keep cracking but i didn't give up.And now !!! i can sing Adele-Hello comfortably i hit that high notes very easy with power-full voice and all of that happen in 2 month.What if i keep practicing for 1 year i could open channel on youtube and sing and thats my dream :) i just have to wait 1 year its easy :D i hope i helped you guys i have shared my training secrets with you and i swear it's work just keep hitting these notes every day and will work
@liveformusic10x9 жыл бұрын
iAiM- SkyNet That's awesome! Make sue you're being healthy - take breaks regularly (an hour non-stop is nor good for your voice) and stay hydrated! Also make sure that you're working through your breaks steadily, shouting is not always good for your voice. And don't forget to cool down!! That's very important! Good luck, I can't wait to hear you :)

Thanks, Sophie ;) I love the leaning forward technique you describe in the third exercise. I had forgotten about it and used it with a student today. Fantastic exercises, thank you. However, would it be possible, though, the next time you make a video like this, that perhaps you tell us WHY we're doing a particular exercise, and HOW it's helping our singing voice , rather than just "these are great warm-ups"(which they are). I personally like to know why these exercises work well, so to help visualize what we're doing a bit better. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge!

love your hair and eyes and best of all these wonderful tricks! i need help overcoming mid-range breaking, i can healthfully produce notes through most my range, but there are "problem areas" that crack and falter, yet i am able to sing higher and lower than those specific problem ranges is this from improper technique when i was younger?
@1108vocalstudio5 жыл бұрын
Hi Olivia. If you are cracking in your midrange, then yes; You are probably not using great technique. If you add some whiny sounds on your break, it will help smooth them out.

Hi Sophie, you mentioned for the second exercise to put your thumb under your chin to keep the muscles from pulling down, should we feel them move at all? For me, the muscles move with each note change, but they don't stay pulled down. Is this ok or shouldn't they be moving at all? Thanks :) x
@sabrinasalomon89776 жыл бұрын
Hi, did you get any answer on this? The same happens to me !
@evilynlestrange16232 жыл бұрын
@@sabrinasalomon8977 Try incorporating tension releasing exercises specifically for the tongue . It’s not impossible to hit it with little movement in the chin region but like she said it’s just unnecessary tension making it more difficult than what is necessary i find that singing feels the easiest and most effortless with an all around better sound when I feel nothing under the chin. But I just realized this comment is 5 years old so I’m sure you’ve fogies this out by now but just incase others find themselves with the same question as you guys

Sophie, thank you, I love your videos! One question for exercise B: it sounds as if you are singing something like "uuhng" but then you also say that you are breathing through the mouth, which would be impossible if that was the case! What is the sound you are singing?
@1108vocalstudio6 жыл бұрын
Hi Henrie. That is a really good question. I am indeed breathing with my mouth, but I am only inhaling in-between each scale of "Hunnnng".

Hi Sophie! I have one question. Are we supposed to breathe through our nose or mouth while singing? I heard some people say mouth breathing can be bad, but I've also heard breathing through the nose while singing isn't correct, and I just would like to know which one is the proper way. Thanks for all of these educational videos.
