Serious hard core. As a non gymnast it certainly shows how difficult gymnastics is. Most people wouldn’t be able to do most of those moves at all. How often would you train like that? If I tried doing a gymnastics core session even on its own let alone at the end of a session I would be crippled for a week. Definitely work up to this stuff.

ClarkyXPH I was a gymnast as a kid and then took off 15 years and started adult gymnastics 2 years ago. You should check your city to see about adult gymnastics classes, you can then learn how to do all these gnarly exercises. It’s a really fun way to get in shape.

I go to gym four times a week for three hours each practice and in the summer we probably spend one of those hours conditioning each practice. During competition season it’s more like 30-45 minutes each practice.

When I was smaller I could do the moves easy. I'm 6ft tall and 220 now. Gymnastics is a tough sport It's on my favorite sport to look at on TV. You make it look easy good job.

In my gym panel mat slides which is when you get a panel mat and someone sits on top in a plank and you have to push them across the floor .they could be your body weight or over your body weight.its not fun. We also do a lot of other things to, not just that.

I miss school honestly, being a level 8 gymnast aiming for elite is rough, i only started a few years ago and i had to move, be homeschooled and i practice 40+ hours a week at gym and 4-9 hours a day at home..I really am gonna try to be the best gymnast I can.

Our rope at our old gym went all the way up to the ceiling and our building was 2 stores high. If we didn't go half way up without legs we would have to go the rest of the way. *ugh bad summer memories lol*

I am a gymnast and when I had a cast on my ankle I was forced to only join the group when they were on bars and for the rest of practice I just conditioned on the bars and I had to do so many chin levers! I was hurting for dayzz

So, I'm 14 and I'd love to start gymnastics but i think i'm too old and I'm not good enough. I'm afraid to get in a team with like 8 year olds. My hardest skill is a backwalkover and yeah. Any advice??

I m 18 y.o boy.talked with a coach last week and he said that 18 is old and if u want to become champion in this sport u should ve started sooner that u got a junior champion at least.If I were u I would have started as soon as possible and train really hard.wish u luck

I did gymnastics at 12 and 13 starting late and quitting at 14.. around 5 months 5 months ago. It depends on where you go but even if you do get good it will be hard to get on team cause they will want younger girls. But you could always do recreational possibly team (depending on your gym). You should go for it though although I do warn you being and older gymnast with not alot of skills it makes you feel quite embarrassed and uncomfortable working with younger girls.
