Hi Everyone! Let me know which cleaner you are most excited to try! ❤️

I loved the multipurpose cleaner, and I thought that the corn starch in the glass cleaner was an interesting touch. I love your organization style. Where did you get that shaker lid for the mason jar? I love that! Also, I would love to see your process on labeling and restocking your cleaning and organizing tools. Great 📹! TY!

What soap did she use
@popoffs52733 жыл бұрын
For the multi purpose cleaner you need to add some soap as it is needed as it let's the cleaner dissolve the grease and get in the micro pores by reducing the surface tension of the water It can be whatever soap you want natural or the chemical loaded it will all work the same Edit: I am a chemist and I have studied the chemistry of cleaning and natural soap is the most effective for multi purpose cleaners The rest of the recipes are good just make sure to add soap

Thank you for taking the time to let me know, that is great information, I appreciate your expertise!
@brandidonn78473 жыл бұрын
Actually you can’t use just any soap, well I mean you can but it may not be affective. A lot of people like to use Castile Soap in their diy cleaners but in this case because of the Vinegar it would be pointless because the two ingredients cancel each other out.
@popoffs52733 жыл бұрын
@@brandidonn7847 you are on the right track, but the vinegar is not nearly acidic enough to make the soap ineffective. dish soap is better as it has a combination of anionic and nonionic surfactants (Soaps) that remove dirt well and dissolve oils and grease well too. my point is that its almost pointless to make a cleaner without surfactants as any nonpolar soil will not come off easy. plus the vinegar can damage some surfaces such as natural stone. I don't like vinegar as a cleaning agent personally, i like to make my cleaner either pH neutral or leaning on the akaline side of things. The only acidic cleaners I make are descalers and soap scum removers for which i use citric acid (the acid in lemons found in the canning asile)
@samanthakirkpatrick89813 жыл бұрын
@@popoffs5273 is soap and surfactants like dish soap aren’t the same, when you said natural soap is best do you mean actual soap is best or are surfactants better than soap for all purpose cleaning?

Oh no haha! White wine vinegar is great to make sauces and dressings with, but beyond that you can use it to clean! Use a 1:1 ratio white wine vinegar to water and use especially for hard water stains or lime scale build up 👍

Make sure you are using high quality essential oils that are 100% essential oil. Some of the cheaper ones leave a residue when they aren't pure oils. Also make sure not to add too much!

Just a tip... clean your sink with dish soap, then sprinkle the sink with baking soda, take half a lemon, and use it as a sponge to work the baking soda. Then rinse the sink with hot water. Take the same lemon half and squeeze on the sink then use lemon to polish the sink. Rinse with hot water and dry sink with a microfiber cloth. The dish soap is the cleaner, baking soda is abrasive, the hot water and lemon are the disinfectants, and the lemon is also the polish. Drying the sink whenever wet is important for stainless steel sinks and as well as stainless steel appliances prevent water spots. I use lemon (or lemon juice), rubbing alcohol (or Isopropyl Alcohol), hydrogen peroxide, vinegar, and vodka (the cheaper the better) as disinfectants. I have severe allergies and a rare condition that makes them even worse. So I can't be around most chemicals and fragrances. So DIY cleaners are not a choice for me but a necessity.
