A very good counter proof of: playing a piece fast and flawless does not always mean "playing good". The important thing is to embed the soul. A very beautiful interpretation of this lovely study. I loved your playing. All the best.

Hi Samantha, lately I fell in love with this little gem by Sor that I watched videos of it by more than 10 artists, then I came across yours. Your interpretation is super, bringing out the emotions that I believe Sor intended. I subscribed to your channel and hope that you will upload more videos like this one. By the way, I personally find this etude very spiritual, having the calming effect on me as the “Ave Maria” by Schubert and by Gounod. Thanks for posting. Have a good performance at your event!

Samantha, your performance of this beautiful piece is simply gorgeous! I'm working on it myself these days and I'm aware of the big difficulties of some passages....but you simply seem to glide over them gently and happily. I love this slow, no-rush, approach you take. Moreover, the phrasing and dynamics are full of beauty and expression. Thank you. You're an inspiration. Rodrigo

There is a note on the 6th string that is played as an F# by all the guitar players, and Samantha plays it as a Bm, the way it was written. Although it might sound weird to some people, I personally think, Sor did it on purpose and I love it. One of the best recordings of this beautiful piece.

Hermosa interpretación, gracias gracias! En qué opus está contenido este estudio en E menor?
@c.mirceatrestian5884 жыл бұрын
Fernando Sor (1778-1839, España): Estudio en mi menor, op. 6, Nr. 11 Étude in E minor, op. 6, No. 11 (from 12 etudes). Andrés Segovia, in his Collection of 20 Estudios by Sor, named this as „Étude no. 17“, but this is a very wrong, embarrasing fact.
