That is exactly "a quiet acceptance of fate and very gentle complaint" as Schubart once said for what B Minor can bring to your ears. A wonderful performance made by Taso Comanescu. Great works !

in equal temperament all minor keys sound exactly the same. unfortunately some of the "character" of different keys is lost (compared to other tuning temperaments) to allow for more harmonically and melodically complex compositions.

Some teachers call this one arpeggio study. Some people do play it like arpeggios. Here, the melody line is brought out beautifully. 👍👍

Well played, Taso. Each note is so clear, so well articulated with such wonderful expression. I'm just now learning it, and if I can play it half as well as you I'll be very happy.

This piece modulates so much! And that last modulation before the second repeat is very difficult to make fluid for me personally. I really like what you did here. I think you found some solutions to parts of this study that are tough to navigate. So beautiful!

This piece is so hard to get in tune. If the fifths are accurate the major thirds go sharp. The only way is to flatten the 3rds and bend the fifths up a little if possible. I have yet to hear any performance where this is in tune. Even Bream's many performances were never quite consonant. It's a lovely piece, but it exposes the intrinsic tuning weaknesses of the classical guitar.

@@kvnboudreaux There is no perfect pitch, that's what the poster is trying to tell you, one has to manipulate strings to achieve this disparity.

@nesssixteen6106 Жыл бұрын
was wondering if someone else would mention it. it sucks because otherwise this is a great rendition of this piece, the background breathing noise just soils it unfortunately. no fault of the performer of course, he did really well
