Roxas, surprisingly, is not the best partner to have. I find that Xion and Mickey are the most helpful, because they can not only heal you, but they can strike enemies in the air (I think Mickey can combo them in the air, too, while Xion lets out her light pillar attacks that juggles without revenge value)

I did not realize just how many enemies were out if reach from ground combat, and what I've learned is that Square really need to give more allies aerial combos. Also that Ally Roxas' dual shot lacks alot of power compared to Player Roxas' version. I do think Roxas would do better in the battlegates though since they tend to have many more ground enemies. He'll still be a joke compared to what Sora can pull off, but just slightly less of one.

I mean Roxas does better than most but quite frankly no one can match up to what Sora can do in game. Doing ReMind on critical while choosing the others is a true test of skill. Kairi Ironically does the best in air compared to the other non Soras.

@@stevenviljoen160 While Sora's shear power and versatility is part of it, I doubt Ally Roxas would be doing half as bad if he was allowed to attack airborne. All of them would be able to keep up sufficiently if they were just given the same tools the player has when playing as them, and the relentless aggression to put them to use. Really the only serious gamechangers Sora has is links and attraction flow, and without those his advantages in formchanges would be negligible against everything short of superbosses.

@@vadandrumist1670 There is still the raw number to take into acount. Sora can output more dps than any other character by a wide margin. If they where to compete at all they would need to be able to switch Keyblades and upgrade them because with Keys like the Ultima keyblade there just isn't any contest.

@@stevenviljoen160 That is just a matter of stats though, I could say the opposite for any Sora in a Lv. 1 run. All stats being equal though I also wouldn't consider keyblade switching crucial [but instead] the keyblades being swapped to, and while that certainly does make a difference I do not believe it would it would be anything but negligible in standard combat, at least as long as you aren't early on and using a maxed out keyblade in NG+. These characters are no slouches in combos either so in base combat they won't be losing out, the AoE potential of formchanges is mitigated by how spread out enemies usually are and the time it takes to use them in the first place, only Roxas lacks in alternative AoE with Aqua and ReMind Riku possessing shotlocks superior to Sora's, but Roxas as well as Kairi compensate in this regard via teleportation strikes that are much more convenient than airstep. At the end of the day Sora is certainly better, but at least as allies these alt-playable characters would definitely earn their keep if at their full potential.

It would be so cool if we had a mod that would allow you to switch control per character. Imagine. You're playing as Sora for a while and you swap to Roxas who has his entire moveset. Or you're playing as Sora, and you die, you can pickup where Sora left off as one of your allies. Just pray that they can heal/have items. Basically, just because Sora went down, doesn't mean game over; similar to Mickey's appearance in the Mulan fight if you lose as Sora in KH2. This time though, the player's control swap over to your ally, as they notice P1 (Sora in this case) went down. They could have their own character expressions and voice lines towards whomever P1 is (I know y'all can find the voice clips. This is 'possible' AT LEAST). I guess for spamming "heal-all" items, regress it back to 1 on equip I guess... (I never used items when I played the games the first time around so I don't know what max cap would be). Reason being, since you already have gone from 1 life to 3, it would be OP to have more than 6 potential stocks. Or we could just not have restrictions, idc I'm here for fun. Or you could set the elixir's to only fully revive Sora and additionally heal your allies only if they're still conscious, then Sora(P1) would have to heal P2/3 some other way. *Curaga smirks in the back* I think it might be a good thing that not everyone has access to Curaga at the same time or at least, whomever P1 has control over can use Curaga to it's full extent, but when operating as CPU, it's something else. Over time, I could see this mod becoming multiplayer, working alongside the already existing multiplayer character select mod except now, both players have access to 3 characters, OR let them play alongside you and if one of you dies first, you still have one stock remaining. Potential 3v3 VS Mode... 2v3s... 1v3s... That would be some good ass content🤔👀 Some additional things I was thinking about with the mod; the character models would be apart of the attraction attacks (example Roxas sitting in the Mountain Coster ride at 9:55) but more importantly, have their own duo and trio attacks with Sora (and with other party members when the mod gets more updates (example: Sora+Roxas = Oathkeeper's Promise, but Sora+Roxas+Axel = Burning Kingdom Keys | Roxas+Axel+Xion = 358 Days of Oblivion)) Each character would have their own level-up abilities, skills trees, etc, and give them additional special equipment (Keyblades, Forms, Armor(Clothes)) would be really cool too, scattering them across the worlds of the game. You can keep ultimate items hidden behind challenges like beating bosses with Sora and that specific character only, or just beating a boss with that character only, or gathering 1 specific ingredient for Donald as [Insert Character Here]. Those were just ideas that you could use of course for the challenges. I think it would be a REALLY awesome mod to play with

i was really disappointed with the fight base game. as in there was a invis barrier blocking u from getting the rest of the heartless. kinda wished the barrier stopped where the actual wall was like kh2's was.

Terranort was also heavily weakened with confusion and actively fighting Terra at the same time and aqua couldn't beat him. Gameplay is always questionable but in the cutscenes she was pretty consistent. The bosses where also decent in the story but they weren't really trying to win or taking the fights seriously. The Data battles are more like their actual potential. At this point Sora is also just built different. He's beaten Roxas, Riku and Aqua 1v1.

@@stevenviljoen160 Yes, Vanitas, a fellow keyblade wielder. I'd actually use BBS as an example for why Aqua should be much stronger. For Terranort, sure, but that doesn't impact the battle much itself, and that seemed to be more because he got wrecked by LW beforehand. That aside though KH3 Terranort is his own bag of worms due to absolutely dominating the guardians only to be toe-to-toe with them shortly after. Yes, but in cutscenes all the guardians are consistently awful, Sora included, and they still say Sora's strength only comes from his friends. That doesn't make sense, under what basis are you saying that for everyone but Xigbar? I would say the bosses are not decent due to being weaker and less versatile than any of their previous appearances, especially when the player is at their strongest. Data battles are another can of worms. On one hand if that is as they say their canon strength then the guardians would never have won, at least not without the casualties of everyone who's not played as. On the other those bosses are incredibly simple, with even a shadow heartless possessing more intelligence because at least those have to deal with the concept of spacing to attack effectively, and the base bosses are even smarter due to their attacks having variations. Sora has beaten them, yes, but that doesn't mean he's "stronger" per-say. Let me use Aqua as an example. In 0.2 Playable Aqua is heavily underpowered compared to Boss Aqua, especially the Zodiac version. Even if the player can beat Z Aqua that doesn't change the fact that you can't teleport or spam doppelgangers. The same could be said for Sora vs Roxas and to an extent KH1 Riku/Ansem. That said, Sora is clearly at his strongest in KH3, but that just means the bar should've been raised for the others. I would say ideally the guardians/seekers at base would be as strong as Sora's second form, and even stronger with formchanges (the non-keyblade seekers wielding keyblades as was blatantly foreshadowed, that formchange into their original weapons). Additionally for the guardians while they don't need a full set of spells it would be nice if they all weren't just Sora's default. Finally they should be made as reasonably smart as possible with the ability to dodge, block, and recover responsively rather than as part of a pattern (also capable of aerial combat). Make it PvP-esque.

@@vadandrumist1670 under what basis? They literally play around, talk casually and want the heroes to run the gauntlet. Their entire plan rests on the fact that all 7 guardians have to fight all 13 darknesses. If they killed all the heroes in a 1v1 scenario then the Xblade wouldn't be forged as it would be a 7v7. Again gameplay can't realy be used as a measure otherwise the BBS trio should be fighting like they are in rhythm mixer and Sora should just be flying everywhere with keyblade wings. Terranort while fighting Aqua, ven and Sora was already weakened from fighting lingering will and the future Sora. Lingering will itself is comparable to him as we've seen in bbs and KH3 so he was exhausted. It Is also impossible to get any AI to pvp levels with today's technology. Have you played many fighting games? Despite 1v1 being the name of the game a Very hard AI in tekken is not even comparable to any high level PvP. Same with street fighter, SC, DOA and every other fighting game you can think of. They even often give the AI cheats like Azazel in tekken 6 and that doesn't make them equal to humans. And these fights are not 1v1 against the organization so if they did give them the AI of Yazora for instance that would be more frustrating than fun because fights like that only work in a 1v1 setting. Not to mention the story bosses need to be easier than the optional ones so everyone can experience the story and them choose the insane hard boss fights.

@@stevenviljoen160 Except A: They had a backup plan. B: The ratio is fine as long as the total is 13. C: They talk casually and play around when they have the advantage of numbers, not when they actually start fighting, and the ones that are very clearly taking this seriously (Riku Replica, Terranort, Nort Court) don't fight any harder than the ones that don't. D: The plan itself is nonsensical as the end ratio is completely off, it doesn't even require a proper fight, and if it's that easy then countless X-blades should created during the keyblade war. We are talking about gameplay though. Literally the argument is about if they should have buffed the keyblade wielders to be stronger than Sora in gameplay. Cutscenes are too inconsistent as a reference. I also don't know what you mean by "keyblade wings", but I do think they should've had cutscenes reflect gameplay better and sometimes vice-versa in regards to Xehanort and Mickey. Cutscene-wise (which in this case is all we have) that doesn't fit at all since he's clearly not winded due to the events of ReMind. Let's also not forget everything the guardians (especially Sora) have to go through to fight him again, and how that would give him time to recover however worn down he was. Additionally even without that several of the other seekers have been shown to wipe the floor with Sora, and cutscene-wise there's no noticeable improvement. The moment Mickey is taken out Sora has no chance against Larx and Marl, and again Riku and Mickey are out against the Nort Court, and again when Sora fights Xehanort who can just stopza for the win. I will throw out the example franchises (from best to worst) of Bayonetta, DMC, Scarlet Nexus, Nier Automata, and Dissidia. Additionally machine learning can absolutely wreck any pre-built AI and go toe-to-toe with pro players in the games you mentioned, but that's beside the point. Back to the point I said PvP-esque, and I'd specifically want programmed failability so that it's beatable, particularly with he non-superboss variants, not to mention the whole disparity in HP/Healing. So they should've made their fights 1v1s or by making both enemies and allies better they would balance out to allow the multi-boss fights. It's not a law of the universe that they had to have things play out the way they did. If you're worried about difficulty then that's exactly what the difficulty setting is for, and if that's still not enough and they want the easiest route there's grinding, getting good, and if all else fails watching the cutscenes on KZbin.

I really hate the 10k heartless battle. There like only around 20 enemies that you can kill and the other ones don't even come from the enemies around you. They spawn. Also those shadows are just props. I dont know whose idea was to make them die in 1 hit. It should be like kh2 where you were surrounded by heartless and there were like 50 killable or more . Also props for using the kh2 tension rising. I thing for battles like this it's much better than the kh3 ones. But non of them fits better than sinister shadows. Kh3 tried to hit the nostalgia.

Even worse is that you *have* to use the train to finish the fight. Part of what makes the 1k heartless battle so neat is that you do actually clear out the entirety of the battlefield one (so to speak) heartless at a time.
