That was a great video of the Sora and Virginia Rail. As always a bit of your humor is fun to hear. And great information. Thanks for all your work to create these. I love them. Rosie McClarren

This is really good, Jo. Now I know about another bird we do not have in the desert. Thanks!

Excellent video, wonderful information and happy to hear the Sora's call as well!! You were very lucky indeed to catch both of the rails and film their behavior. - Cathy

Jo, I've been particularly busy, and I managed to lose track of the last two videos you posted. . .about monarch butterflies, I think. I just accessed your unbelievable collection of videos here and am so impressed with what you've created. I look forward to going through each and every one. I love your connecting the OED with the Audabon Society. Your physical voice, your writer's voice, your use of language - all make these particularly interesting to me.

Donna, it's sweet to get your message. As a writer yourself, you've been specific, and I know that as a writer you recognize good composition.Enjoy browsing around and getting an education about the natural world. Thanks for your continued support.

Something else I just remembered. . .at the recent Ferg Flor luncheon someone - not me - made reference to your videos and a second colleague added, "She has such a beautiful voice." Just passing it on. . .

I'm glad you passed it on, Donna. When I attend the luncheons, I don't find that people mention my movies to me, so I just sorta figured they were oblivious. Apparently that's not true. Thanks.

Great video. Great narration as well. I just found a Virginia rail at work, either sick or injured, and have him in a box to go to a rehab. Poor guy made it through the cold and rainy night. Perhaps the saying should be “tough as rails”?

😏 I like the way you like to play with language.

Awesome footage as always! I got to see my first Soras and Virginia Rails this year in Ohio. Very neat birds :)

It's cool that you got to see your first Soras, but to have Virginias into that bargain--super cool. Thanks, Sean, for the compliment on the footage.

Well dadgummit, I can't answer you! Much as I enjoy corresponding with commenters, I can't type right now because I just had carpal tunnel syndrome repaired. All I can do is paste this explanation and hope that maybe sometime in September I can type again.

@@airen2856 Did mealworms appeal to the bird? It was the only thing I could think of. Well, maybe live crickets.
