Don't forget the Mirror of Loss to get to 24 CHA! I did this build almost identically in my first playthrough, except I took Distant Spell instead of Heightened. I was a Drow, and I found that in the early game, having hand crossbow proficiency was helpful to make good use of my bonus action.

I'm playing this with Laezel With the Silver Dragon Ancestry, instead of White. Makes no practical difference, just: "Laezel with Blood of Silver!" Lot of fun, thanks for the build :D

Ice spec is ridiculous. Especially when you pair an Ice Sorc w/ Evo Wiz dip with a high-int Cleric/Evo Wiz and give Laezel/your fighter the no-prone/slipping boots for cleaning up the few survivors while being immune to the Ice storms.

I've been rolling an ice sorcerer githyanki in my latest run... it's great for a ranged party as you can control the battlefield really well.

My first run was a tiefling dragonic sorc with electricity descendant. Lightning charge staff with magic missle and then combine it with a piece where you go reverberation when apply status effects (every piece of magic missle does lightning charge) so now your magic missle does knockdown

One correction: Kereska's Favour does not add your Charisma modifier, it adds your Proficiency bonus to damage. That will probably be +4 by the time you get Markoheshkir.

Hey eve, if you bonk shadowcutie after the nautaloid, ressurect her, then fight the intellect devourers with her ungrouped but still in your party, she teleports to the grove after the fight and you can still control her, and the grove fight/dialogue never even triggers to begin with

Great video, I cannot wait to try it, I don’t usually play honour mode solo, so I’ll probably go for a 16dex/14con spread. You can actually get to 20 AC; as draconic ancestry and this spread with either a shield or bracers of defense (under the alchemist hut, near blighted village) and a certain infernal robe if you make a heinous pact with a devil… hahaha

I was thinking about a Ice draconic/Lore bard Lorecerer with Gemini Gloves from Devil's fee, which can be used four times per long rest (3 short rests for bard). Travel between Rivington and lower city to reset the gloves if further reuses are needed. You have two options for cantrips from twinned spell, gemini gloves or both, very powerful ray of frost, or powerful AOE vicious mockery. Use ice storm and cone of cold from the legendary staff from act 3 if burst AOE ice damage is needed.

How viable is Shadow Monk for solo Honor mode? All the shadow based invisibility and mobility plus Tavern Brawler Monk, even though weaker than Open Hand, seems really good.

I'd say dip into something else wisdom-based too to supplement because I think it drops off at the higher levels, but yeah it's pretty strong. also, get a way to make darkness in case you're caught out in the sunlight (wish this game had day/night cycles, that would make shadow monk spec amazing!)

Personally, I recommend a Custom character if you want to play a Sorcerer. This is because Origin characters are a little funky where their dialogue tags are concerned. If you play as Shadowheart and make her a Sorcerer instead of a Cleric, she loses her Cleric tag and does not gain the Sorcerer tag. This means she loses [Cleric] dialogue options and does not gain [Sorcerer] dialogue options. My guess is, this is because it would've greatly increased the cost of the voice-acting to record lines for every class, for every Origin character, for every dialogue. Can't really blame Larian for that. Custom characters always have all applicable dialogue tags, because Tav is mostly a "silent protagonist" and doesn't need voiced lines for everything. Origin characters are great main characters if you want to keep them in their default classes. I wanted to play a female Barbarian, for example, and at first I went with a Custom character. But then I thought, "Wait a minute... why should I make a Custom female Barbarian when Karlach is right there, just begging to be used?". I've found that she has a lot of interesting and unique lines as your main character. When she wakes up on the beach after the crash of the Nautiloid, for example, she rejoices at being (at least temporarily) free of her forced conscription in Avernus. I also figured it'd be interesting to see what happens with Wyll's quests if Karlach is YOU. I haven't reached that point yet, but so far I am enjoying Karlach's colorful and unique lines. She also looks frickin' fantastic wearing the "Seraphic Radiance 0" armor from the Basket Full of Equipment (NSFW) mod.

I just got to the druids' grove with Karlach as my main character and talked to Wyll, and he is not willing to join my party at this time. Interesting! Maybe he'll join later, and maybe he becomes an enemy instead. I don't know. I guess I'll find out!
