Thanks John! I’ll try some of that out in the next one ;)

Hi John, I enjoyed listening to your interesting and useful musical ideas in approaching this Fugue, as we hear Cameron's lovely version of it along the way. I'm slowly working on Bach's 1st cello suite (Bwv 1007) and I often go back to cello and violin versions and tutorials for a sense of the "original" idea to help me get a sense of how to translate it to guitar most effectively. Good stuff!

Thanks David. Bach is all about the pulse! Have fun with the prelude and hope to hear it one day.

Interesting ideas John. I really like enjoyed the video, and nice job conveying via your singing. (That very “complex” measure - awesome moment). question- on the old bow shapes forcing down bow to be more forceful than up bow - is that a bug or a feature ? Should a transcription to guitar look to imitate limitations of the original violin or maybe be able to have a new interpretation bringing out the qualities of the guitar?

Hey Jay. It’s not a bug, but a feature based on the limitations of the engineering at the time. Having a curved in bow requires more techniques than just grabbing a bent out stick. This video is to provide both ideas, that the old violins played this way, and the cleanliness of the guitar sound.
