@@inyoursea is she's better then xianthia you think ? Or should I pull for xianthia? And are their more limited characters or is it just her for now in the beta test

@@NickW-kl2sn I'm curious to see how the official version will be, but looking at the beta skill descriptions alone... Sorin doesn't seem like a meta character. Her kit looks very similar to Albert, except worse. Since they are both shield users, their normal and charged attacks are pretty similar, except Sorin has lower multipliers. Curiously, Sorin's ultimate is very similar to Albert's normal skill, while Sorin's normal skill has less than half the utility of Albert's ultimate. Let's compare: Sorin's ultimate deals 100% ATK damage and applies a 20% ATK debuff for 8 seconds. The skill costs 240 energy and is on a 8s CD Albert's normal skill deals 55% DEF damage, + 11% DEF damage per hammer hit. It applies a 24% ATK debuff for 8s, and is on a 12s CD. (So... Yeah, very similar utility, except in practice Albert's skill should have a higher uptimite since it doesn't require energy) Sorin's normal skill grants a 20% Stamina regen buff for 15s, debuff imunity for 5s, and deals 104% ATK damage. While Albert's ultimate deals 43% DEF based damage and creates a golden statute with 100% of Albert's HP that prokes enemies, grants ALbert a 32% damage reduction, ad grants all nearby allies a 50% Stamina regen bonus. (It costs 240 energy and is on a 12s CD.) So.... Assuming Sorin's kit stays more or less the same, and you already have Albert, there is pretty much zero (gameplay) reason to pull for her. Higher multipliers on And considering that people generally seem to rank Xianthia higher than Albert for most content right now... Yeah, I think it's safe to say Sorin (as of the beta) is weaker than XIanthia, Having said all of that... Keep in mind this is all based on outdated information. It's absolutely possible that Sorin will recieve huge buffs before her official release. Even so, Unless they make significant changes to her whole kit, I do think Albert's existent makes her a bit redundant. (Especially when we have characters like Saeya who can also tank while providing more useful support for the rest of the team, such as healing and enemy RES reduction) Meanwhile, at least for now, Xianthia's kit seems a bit more unique, with the abilities to create blasck holw that drag in enemies (kinda like Venti) Also, the next character banner will likely be Atterisee + a new 4* poison archer, not Sorin, so... Even if she turns out to be massively improved, there will likely be some time to save before she is out. (especially since the banner duration has been extended from 3 to 4 weeks) Well, if you are indecisive, wating for official announcements until the current banner is nearly over to see if the next character is more appealing to you or not is always an option.
