@Lamporre If I remember correctly, Mike was disenchanted with the show kicking off Tony, and that's why he only ever appeared a single time after Tony was fired. That shows that Mike must have felt strongly about Tony

They seemed often openly hostile towards each other. Clive was not a fan of america or Americans much like other British celebs like Clarkson. Though he also punched a guy at work for, what I’ve heard so don’t know if all his judgments are that great.

I've been reading your posts about the relationship between Mike and Tony and I have to believe they have a relationship that might be closer then any of the pairings in Whose Line history (Ryan and Colin are close professionally with a natural friendship coming). But look at Tony and Mike, Tony was asked to leave the show, and Mike felt Tony was wronged, and left in protest. Both are great comics, and worthy to represent Team GB in a Whose Line Competition against the USA.

Well he did come back in just not a lot. Also I feel like with Brad , Ryan, and Wayne and even newer guys like Geoff on thr American side america would win that. A lot of British stuff seems to rely on extremely niche references that not even all of Britain seems to get.

@mmasny he had bipolar disorder, and he went a little off his rocker around that time. in a documentary he described living in a warehouse chucking all his old furniture into the river. I'm not sure he was at that stage when they fired him, but he certainly got there eventually.

@TheLastBrainLeft I disagree. Tony was wonderful in the earlier, less troubled years, and I refute the idea that 'the Tony we so love' would have disappeared as a consequence of trying to collect himself and get on with life. Though I would like to see what he can do now.
