Very high hopes for this band. Been starstruck for 2 years now and maybe 2020 will be their launch into eternal fame...

wouldn't say this is great live, but the songs are really great.

I think this live performance kzbin.info/www/bejne/iF7Edpp3r6yNptk is much better, they sound much more confident and more like the record, even though it is old and the audio quality is bad
@munaqebeb1254 жыл бұрын
the mastering is SO fucking wack on these videos. Black Country, New Road's performance has the same issue- doesn't sound confident but its because the vocals are so thin sounding.

I think its hard to recreate the sound of a heavily produced album. They sound great imo, but the video from close encounters club is my fav live performance

Great band!!! I was lucky to see them play in Liverpool in 2018, being the support of Sunflower Bean

They mentioned this band on the Austrian radio today 💕 I love this music It makes me nostalgic but it’s also sounds so new and fresh

just read about this band today in XPress magazine (digital) from Perth West Australia, and I'm in love, just "odd" enough for my taste, and with a lovely aftertaste of impending menace! Love it... when payday comes around buying 932 off Bandcamp! (digital)

Great stuff. What a pity they can't tour the new album right now. My album of the year so far.

@@ScrimblowblimboBlimboScrim It sucks that they haven't gotten the recognition they deserve. Honestly, I feel like Starstruck should have been a massive hit- a lot of their songs should have been massive hits. But, it also does feel kind of cool knowing them when theyre smaller. Waiting for my hipster points to flow in...

New favorite band. Was taken back how good their new record is. I can’t tell, that’s a mans chest on it right?

They are just the coolest new UK indie band ever since Drahla (which wasn't that long ago). Also getting a bit of sax in there too. The album is so good, been on playback for the past two days since I discovered.
@Jacorpes4 жыл бұрын
Stuart Seaton Not often you see Drahla mentioned. Drahla are so underrated it’s ridiculous. Really enjoying this Sorry album too
@StuartSeaton4 жыл бұрын
@@Jacorpes Drahla are a top band. I think Sorry might just have the edge though. They've got the production on the whole album down to a tee, really polished album and very subtle in many ways. I'm slightly disappointed that the "eurch" line in the song Starstruck didn't make it to the live version. Very post-Elastica
@Jacorpes4 жыл бұрын
@@StuartSeaton I'm not sure they're all that comparable, though they both sound very Elastica! I think these guys are more like HMLTD in the production and influences. Drahla's all about that mad bass tone and the wild sax solos. I'm only on my third listen through of Sorry's album so I can see my view changing!
@StuartSeaton4 жыл бұрын
@@Jacorpes It was just the sax really that reminded me of Drahla. I normally cringe at sax but these two bands have made sax acceptable in the 20's. Another band they remind me off a bit is Peter Kernel, great semi-experimental indie band from Canada/Switzerland. Mostly the male backing vocals that remind me of them. All these bands remain largely unrecognised, and in some ways that's a good thing. They won't get a chance to sell out.
