I have gotten serious bipolar energy from this, there's a stage where you feel normal one moment, then completely manic in a few hours (these can also take days too) it could last a while and at it's peak you feel like you can do anything, and when you crash, everything falls apart. When you snap out of the feeling it'll burn you out make you realize how you failed goals, and you drop so fast into depression, it doesn't get any prettier. Which is what happened at the end of the episode when she trips, she has that last moment where she realizes that's it's not what she wanted.

Even though Kinger is still my favourite character, I really relate to Gangle's struggle in this episode and how she's constantly trying to cope with her own inner sadness, which is incredibly relatable, especially as someone who also loves to draw and create art and had to simultaneously worked before in the food industry as a waiter, I totally understand how much you have to cope with the mundanity and mental stress of having to work in such a gruelling environment while trying to keep it together and feeling as if the days go by and lose out on your dreams with people who you feel like dont care enough about you or your dreams/passions, however, there are people out there that do care, and Gangle is lucky to have people like Zooble, Ragatha, Kinger and now Pomni care about her (Jax Im not to sure about). That Gummigoo reveal was CRAZY unexpected, and I can only imagine how many of the fan shippers will go wild after seeing Pomni reunited with him, even if he doesn't remember her! Overall, really good episode 8/10 BTW I really want to see what Kinger was up to with that picture of him bull-riding.

I took it a different way. He's the only one of the crew to like really really not be able to get into this adventure. Everyone else had little to no problem. This is human work. Things we've done before. Jax is not only completely thrown off in this adventure, but he genuinely begins to "connect" with the others. It feels to me like this makes Jax feel even more like an ai, in a lot of ways. But of course, that's the beautiful thing about different perspectives. This show is great. 😂

There's a concept called "suicidal ideation", where you don't necessarily want to actively end yourself, but you also don't care if you die. So you don't try to avoid dangerous things, you don't take any care of yourself, etc. I've... unfortunately been there, more than once. I've had times in my life where I don't want to actively end myself, but I've also thought, "if I got hit by a car right now, that might not be so bad. Either I'd die and finally be free, or at least end up in the hospital and things would be different than the same old monotony and pain I have every day." I don't know if Gangle's end-of-shift was meant to convey that, but it definitely fits.

@@IceMetalPunk Oh I know of suicidal ideation, I have suffered with it for 20 or so years. I don't feel it was that. It didn't give off she felt something like "if I die now I wouldnt care" feel. She tripped and fell back, completely accidental. Not subconsciously unavoiding dangerous situations. This was a parking lot and road in front of a randomly created fast food place made by Caine. From just before she even left the building and up to the trip there was not a single hint there was traffic. Not after the restaurant seemed to close. The whole time she was running and dancing it seemed like she was alone in the area. But then again this is just trying to interpret a single scene. So who knows

As usual, Glitch knocks it out of the park. This episode felt very different from the last three, but it was a great kind of different. I genuinely felt so bad for Gangle, and related to a bit of her struggle. The scene where she leaves work and throws off the mask is very powerful. Also, her and Zooble being close is adorable. As a whole, while being centered around Gangle, all of the characters at Spudsy’s got things revealed about their personalities.

The way Gangle got her new mask and finally started feeling happy, even if temporarily, only for everyone around her to tell her she's annoying like that and they prefer when she's miserable and quiet was so heart breaking. I felt Gangle really hard on this one as someone who masked my emotions for a very long time, it gets draining. I think the mask is actually a representation of medication. It works great at first but over time it starts to work less and less until you feel as or even worse than before. The main thing I've thought about Jax being a runaway npc is that Caine goes something along the lines of, "if I let npcs roam around outside the adventures, I'd forget which is an npc and who's a real person." And it pans to all of them, but also Jax.

The voice actress for Gangle is Marissa Lenti, the voice actress for Ruby in Rwby is Lindsay Jones who was a long time employee of Rooster Teeth. They sound similar but they are not the same people.

1:29 This is a reference to an illustration Gooseworx made of Pomni, with a unicorn horn on her head saying "Well, it's possible..." I'm guessing this is one of Jax's many fourth-wall breaks lol It's a LONG watch, but in there's a full playthrough of a fanmade game on Vixen the Reindeer's KZbin channel (she's Marissa Lenti, the voice of Gangle) with the whole cast voicing their characters' lines in the game. It's in visual-novel style and it covers the first episode. During this playthrough, Lizzie Freeman said she hoped Pomni would say that line as an Easter Egg. Michael Kovach said he hopes Jax will have an opportunity to say "You go, girl" at some point because there's merch of Jax saying it.

Ragatha talking about boxes falling on her head, tea parties, and dancing lessons is a reference to a song in the Raggedy Ann and Andy: A Musical Adventure movie.

My theory is that Pomi is the NPC and got added in to provide emotional support to the people trapped in the circus, which is why she is always the one comforting people. But maybe something went wrong, and she somehow gained sentience and forgot her true purpose. I also think Ragatha is a possible contender for being maybe a guide NPC considering she's always portrayed as the helpful one along with gangels comment about wondering how sincere she is actually being. Though that might be something we learn more about in her focused episode

One detail that stuck out to me was that Jax's car says 001. This made me think of back in episode one where he says that kinger has "supposedly" been there the longest. He's also the only character truly bothered by this work adventure, as if everyone else is very used to doing this sort of thing but not Jax. I'm starting to suspect that the theories of him being an ai are correct, but more to it, he was the original character for this digital circus. I'm starting to think he was like a beta character or something, an ai tester or something along those lines before introducing actual people. I'm so interested to learn more about this world and these characters.

We know that next episode is going to be about Ragatha and then episode 6 will be about Jax, with 7, 8 and 9 being unknown as to what they'll be about, I predict 7 will be a Caine episode while the last 2 will be a sort of 2 part series finale where we get all questions answered such as, what the Circus is, who all the characters are as humans, the secrets of C&A, etc.

Such a normal but crazy Episode, but it's nice for a Gangle Episode who needs a new Comedy Mask, that moment with Zooble is nice, and Pomni saying goodbye to a returned Gummigoo, she believe that it's best for him not to remember

I'm not sure if Jax is an AI but this is two 'adventures' where his version of fun has been shut down, he's grown even more frustrated and uncomfortable from it too, there might be a breaking point if the show follows the rule of three. Wonder if Ragatha's horses were from before or during her time in the circus, given how she's like a Raggedy Ann character it could be either, maybe the avatars are based off of the people they were? Kinger is a King because he potentially helped create/code the circus, Zooble having body dysmorphia, Gangle masking depression and hanging by a thread, could be hints there too
