As someone who loves camping, and knowing where my food comes from, I'd absolutely make Baz' food. It's a genius concept for those who enjoy camping or hiking where perishable food is a horrible idea. No smell, no fuss, no muss. The only concern is the plastic garbage, it's a shame that those aren't biodegradable. It'd be the perfect camping food. I really think he's on to something.

@ayelemensah88164 жыл бұрын
leave me Yeah but can you vacuum-seal those? Because that what a big selling point of Baz’s lunch!
@SeraphimCramer4 жыл бұрын
@@ayelemensah8816 Well, you don't necessarily have to vacuum pack them. If, say, you have a camping trip planned in advance, then you can prepare the food maybe as much as two weeks (or more, as I'm not an expert on how long dried food keeps, but it probably could even last a couple months) ahead of time, & the food will be ready to go whenever you are. It takes maybe two days at most to prepare, so as long as you have basically any amount of notice, you can get some quality meals ready to go for far cheaper than they'd be store-bought, & all you have to do is add some water. The whole point of dehydrating food is that it lasts significantly longer than fresh food. It was one of the main methods for preserving food in the middle ages to last through the winter when all they had available was salt/sugar, smoke, & drying. Vacuum sealing is just an extra step to extend the shelf life even further.
@ayelemensah88164 жыл бұрын
AdraicStarks I actually meant specifically wax wraps. Can you vacuum-seal wax wraps? I’ve only ever seen one that basically just a sheet so there’s no way those would be air-tight! Otherwise I really think that it would make for a great alternative to plastic even in this case. And this way if you’re s big camper and like to prepare your food way ahead of time but you want to avoid plastic then you’ve got one more option!

You know, I'm not a big fan of "hard shell tacos" and always opt for flour tortillas (or corn tortillas in their absence) but I think in this one instance with really tiny tacos, the hard shell makes sense cause it would be cumbersome to handle such tiny tortillas without ripping them or stuff falling out.
