I’m also sober! I hit 4 years on April 23rd. Thanks so much for the plug on that man. I’m probably getting that book. I struggle with the toxic guilt too. It’s good to know others have the same or similar struggles as I have experienced. It’s been a tough road but it is worth it. Thanks for what you do!

Being masculine is being strong in all aspects of life. Mental, physical, and spiritual. Discovering and harboring your weaknesses and building them up to be your strength is the most masculine thing you can do. Masculine cannot be turned taboo. Keep on keeping on... work to make everyday better than yesterday.

As a PEER Support counselor for my work and having been trained in suicide prevention and stress I thank you Jay for being open. YES the stigma is what keeps us down. The macho attitude that the perception of asking for help or discussing our emotions is weak is just not true at all. Strength is asking for help when overwhelmed, upset, angry, sad, suicidal. Thank you Jay. Will Smith of the Dodgers is my favorite PC right now. That said I have a friend who has an autistic son and he loves all Dodgers and WWE especially Undertaker cards.

You are doing everything correctly, working out, eating right and sleeping well. You are on the right track 🤙🏽. Man I think the first pack I opened was like back in the 80’s. I played for my Catholic Church saint thomas moore when I was 4 . Good times 🥳

Heres my experience for ya. I am at the airport right now, but i resonated with your comment in my early teens and 20's.... I understand the lack of support etc, BUT TRUST ME dude my dad literally never took me to games, or thought this could be something, I say this as a push for you to keep enjoying your passion and dont worry about what people think I had been involved in the hobby since I was 14/15 and I am 27. It took a lot of over-explaining at times and I realized I didn't owe explanationas for doing something I loved. It took me until I was around 25 to realize this and its played a huge part in the growing of this brand and my love for the hobby Trust me, Stay on the firing lines of life and the hobby. dont give either up.

Incredible how many cards you are willing to give away, but I understand why it needs to be done once the collection starts stacking up. One question I do have though is: What is your thoughts on giving away cards to kids whom they will have no idea who the player on the card is. I understand the gesture and the kind-hearted nature of it, but if it's just some no-name from 30 years ago (not saying that's what your cards are), couldn't that come across as offloading your "junk" onto someone else? I go back and forth on this, so just wanted to hear your thoughts. Maybe address it in your next vid? Thanks as always for the content!

Way to long ago to remember 1st packs but later on it was mostly all Upper Deck Bills players. As far as your video and I love your messages. I am a bilateral amputee (both legs below the knee) as well as a kidney transplant recipient! Sometimes it’s not so easy to just flip a switch to pull yourself out of a funk, especially when family and friends just says just get over it! We are a society that is trying to deal with mental health issues and most of the time one’s own family doesn’t gras the issues!

Great video Jay! I’ve been battling some mental and physical illness the past year now. The extra motivation of just real life “stuff” is great for me. I truly appreciate all that you do for the community and outside of it. My first ever pack was a Dollar Tree repack of a bunch of 1980s and 1990s cards. I was 12 (currently 20) and was cool seeing names of guys like Barry Larkin, Eric Davis, Pete Rose, etc. i was and still to this day (somewhat unfortunately) a Reds fan. But hey at least my Bengals are solid! Thanks again for the video Jay! Keep up the great work!
