Lovely! No talking and no tapping! I can sit and pretend we're in the same room, working at the same table. It goes back to when l was akid doing homework at the kitchen table while my mom did her accounts. I felt safe and warm.

Excellent ASMR video, you've got it spot on; no un-natural tapping or scratching, just a normal person doing something and letting us watch. This sort of thing, along with the likes of newspaper and magazine reading (assuming the magazine covers an interesting subject for me) really triggers my ASMR. My real favourite though is watching the drawing/sketching of objects, especially scifi stuff like spaceships/ space stations, just done very simply, no great artistry needed, just pen or pencil, a big piece of paper and some imagination. Thanks for posting, you have a new sub.

I thought I was just weird as a child and teen when I would get relaxed hearing someone turn pages,or rummage through a handbag,or stock bags of chips at the grocery store. I never would have imagined that there was actually a real,scientific explanation for this crazy tingly feeling I got when hearing certain things. I never told anyone about it when I was younger for fear that I would be laughed at and ridiculed. I was so happy to find that there are others who experience it,too! Now I don't feel weird.... I feel blessed! This video remains one of my faves. Thanks,Matthew!

Same here. I used to get that same relaxed feeling when my aunt would read in a quiet room. No talking, just the light hum of the house (refrigerator, occasional washer or dryer), soft page turning and SILENCE.
