Skating was my life from age 8-35. It was at the age of 35 that I broke my right ankle and had to have it screwed back together. That ended my skating life but not my passion. I can feel the speed and the rhythm as they fly around the floor. With loose trucks and no toe stops and all energy. Man I miss it. Thank you for these clips.

My GrandDad would pick up all the grands in his Buick Regal, we would be sitting on laps and take us to Northland Skating rink in "The D". I was a youngin, but GrandDad would do his thang on them skates. Rest in peace Grand Dad!

I’m tryin my best to get to the rink 2 a week. My knee is swollen atm so I’m on a short break. 916 Cali here, I’m seein a small about of JB skating starting to pick up at my local rinks. I’ll be Doin my part after more practice. Sticking to practicing my 8’s backwards and transitions right now

Should be an Olympic sport, with a 'James Brown' compulsory section before the freestyle..... The DJ of the relevant country would be eligle for a gold medal along with individual skater, duo or team of 4 for appropriate set of remixes. Different remixes for each round, non- repeated.

These are good . Here in Perth Western Australia the roller rinks seem to have died. Back In 80's they were everywhere. I can only think of one left. Must go back if wife let's me.
