Love this dudes style ! Like the GT,s and Pete H,s and Cardiels before him he’s got that attack everything style ! These type of guys define what it is to skate ! This is what I got into skating for. I’m not even close to skating like these guys but it’s what I love to see. Guys getting AIR $ going big. To me that’s what quantifies Skateboarding. I think we have finally reached a point where there will be no more ( I just skate street or Im just a Vert skater ) pidginholing a skater. Nowadays you see more well rounded skaters who skate everything and they do it Well ! Back to basics boys ,this is what we did back in the day. I’m 51 and still riding parks. I’m padded up anything past 4 feet and my Ollie leg is shattered but I’m having as much fun as anyone. Ain’t many guys that aren’t skateboarders at 51 who can drop in and ride a line pump trannys and grind copping . I may look slow and old but at least I’m out there and having fun. I try to encourage the young guys. Man if you really like this there ain’t no reason why you can’t make this a living. Just keep so,etching I. Your back pocket like a planB. ( not the company lol ) in case your skate career doesn’t come to fruition. There’s a lot of us that never thought that far. You can always go to college & skate. You can go through the Army & skate. You can do whatever you want & skate. Plenty of guys did and had something to fall back on when skateboarding wasn’t paying.. I guess what I’m saying is find something you love to do as much as skateboarding and make a way for it to pay your bills just in case . I’m not saying don’t aspire to be pro. Hell no dream it be it ! Just be smart and know that you need a Plan B so that when times are lean you have something that you can make money at to support yourself. A lot of my friends died due to this trap. I am an Aircraft Mechanic and I love air and airplanes. I make good Money and I love what I do. My skate career got derailed from knee operations and life. I didn’t have a back up and fell into bad times. Finally I got myself a new path but I wasted many years from not having a simple back up plan for when I got hurt then the depression and drinking started and we all know where that leads to. If I can help 1 kid that sees this message I will be happy. Number 1 if you love something like you love skateboarding make it your back up plan. Get good at it and it will open up doors for you. If your doing it because you think it will make money it’s my feeling your doing it for the wrong reasons. I can’t tell you how many guys do my job and hate it. They thought it would be a good way to make money. Totally wrong man. Please believe me when I say that everyday I go to work I no longer dread it. I don’t feel like f….k me I hate this crap. And now I’m getting to use it to go skate awesome places . I’m not pro but a lot of my friends or guys a skated with were. I didn’t quit skating I still skate and I love going. So much fun. I promote this life and wouldn’t change it for the world. Skateboarding is us. We are a small and unique crowd of Ladies and Gentlemen . We except all comers ! Mostly …we’re not perfect their are some A Holes (nazi rascist a holes ) but we love them also we all make mistakes. It’s ok as long as you learn from them and acknowledge you were being a prick then you can move on and heal. I am far from perfect. I’m a moron myself. I’m trying though. Peace y’all !
