This is a neat solution to solve a 'knotty problem'. I love using knots to solve radio antenna deployment problems. I will try this out and compare it with the PVC pipe support solution. Many thanks. Edit: I dragged some rubber inner tube over the pole and this made winding the paracord much easier. Also don't forget to use some paracord to attach the end cap to the pole to avoid losing the end cap.

This is a great idea! I was just about to obtain and prepare a length of PVC pipe when I found your video. I have to give this a shot. Looks like this saves that extra bit of pipe and such. Thanks for taking the time to make the video and describe your idea.

Your pipe will provide protection for your mast if you need to jam it into rocks and things. But this is just a simple solution that'll give you options.

great idea! i have my 10M Sotabeam clamped to my clothes pole with double pipe to pipe clamps from ebay.. I am disabled without transportation apart from my motability scooter and i am planning to get my rig mobile with my other sotabeam 10m into a 3inch diameter pipe hammered into the ground.
