Awesome comparison as always. The 21U definitely is still a great cameraphone option even in 2023. It's the clear winner in this comparison. It's only real weakness is low light video where the A54 feels like it matches the S21U in sharpness (but not in HDR). Seems like the A54 is a pretty good option too as long as you're not a pixel peeper. The S21U is still an amazing value in the camera department as long as you don't compare the low light video to 2022 & 2023 flagships really. It still takes flagship worthy photos and daylight videos.

Tbh the A54 is a very good affordable phone...the colour it might abit saturated compare to S21U but A54 colour isnt too saturated like many other competitors. Its really bang for bucks..

Samsung S series never disappoints with camera shots. I love the S series since I used S10+, S10 5G, S20+, S20 ULTRA, S21 ULTRA, S22 ULTRA.. all camera shots are solid.. My S10 5G works hard as my daily use.if you only have a limited budget, prefer the premium style, you can choose s10+ or ​​s10 5G, the used price in the market is already cheap and worth it because according to my experience while using it, I think its camera can still compete with the 2023 mobile phone camera

Nice comparison. It's nice how well today's midrange and even lower end phones perform. The S21 Ultra wins in most cases and the telephoto lenses are obviously the main killer feature if you have a need for them. But the A54 is very close in most shots and suprising that it seems to perform better in low light in many cases.

To be sincere, it's the s21 ultra for me, it's gives the real skin tone, stabilization and natural environment, but the A54 5g was still meeting up as well but too much contrast and coloring and not as realistic as the s21, but in all, both are nice camera phones ❤️

Please stop using 3x zoom everytime vs phones which doesn't have it. Pixel peeping the main camera is more important. Just zoom the main camera photos. Very frustrating comparisons considering so many a54 videos you have done.

Resume of the video: In all taken photos, the S21 Ultra performed better in relation to color reproduction, dynamic range, focus, contrast, noise, zoom, etc. - While the A54 is significantly better cropping objects in portrait mode. Same goes to video, where the difference in quality, colors, and stabilization is not so big, but dynamic range is still greater on the S21 Ultra. - Autofocus performs better in the A54. When taking 1080p@60fps video selfies, the A54 is specially bad. So worse dynamic range, lack of stabilization, colors are completely washed out leaving no texture in skin. - Incredibly, it all improves by a lot (except color accuracy) when we switch to 1080p@30fps. In low light conditions, no one is particukary better than the other, giving the A54 a really good position in front of the S21 Ultra. Photos and videos are really well balanced between these two phones in terms of quality, however, the S21 Ultra gives a greater dynamic range and optical stabilization overall. This makes the image/video sharper. - In low-light front video, A54 performs particularly better than the S21 Ultra. A54 misses 3 important features: - The optical 3X/10X zoom (we only have wide, ultra wide, and macro). - The portrait video (both rear and front). - The Portrait+Night mode. Conclusion: The camera system of the S21 Ultra is more capable, flexible, stable, and accurate than the one in the A54, however, this is not a reason to choose S21 Ultra over the A54, as A54 is newer than the S21 Ultra in a lot of other aspects. (We are already in 2024 🎉). - If you are going to do vlogging, however, S21 Ultra is a better choose in therms of features, while not necessarily better in quality. Thanks.
