Great to see Soulliac in a different light. Born at Britannia, Soulliac was the shopping place when we spend school holidays in Riambel. I learned a lot from your Vlog, about the ship and the river. I had no idea of so much history 😂 Thank you for sharing. Please stay safe during lockdown. Wishing you both the best, and we’ll hear from you soon. Cheers.

My father is buried in the Souillac cemetery. Both my mother, father and most of us brothers and sisters were born and grew up in Souillac. Souillac was very different back then. Enjoy your stay in Mauritius. Stay safe.

Souillac on my tour list noted for my next holiday on the island. So beautiful seascapes 😮Woow. Lemuria was long time back a continent.. Right.
@BryanDiscoversWorld3 жыл бұрын
You should! Lemuria was a made up continent to balance the earth, not enough land in the southern hemisphere. I think.

There is a Roman Catholic religious place in Souillac called Foyer de L'unité. Very nice place. Also Le Morne is not far. There was an event there when many slaves jumped off a cliff, thinking they would be caught. Very tragic.

Thanks, we were planning to visit Le Morne this weekend, but lockdown is back

@@BryanDiscoversWorld Depressing. When this nightmare is over, I will not be looking at a blade of grass, flower, rain etc the same way as before. I miss the quiet, simple even dull moments.Humanity has been so obsessed with materialism and greed that it forgot how fragile the world is. Your videos are excellent because it draws our attention to the simple things of life and beauty around us with no fuss and no mess and no BS. Take care. Cheers.

@@BryanDiscoversWorld , Hi Bryan, I'm today a Canadian living in Montreal, but of Mauritian descent. born in Souillac, spent my childhood there until my 20'. I spent there the best moments of my entire life! Souillac is really so phantasmagorical! Mark Twain said that God created Mauritius first and then copied on it to do the heaven!
