The endings are so emotive. Rock's endings represent him as a man who lost his fathers and he takes care of Bangoo, a child whose fathers were also gone. Rock could survive without his fathers, but Bangoo cant, so he takes cares of him. I wonder why Namco didn't put Rock in SC5, or they would even replace him with Bangoo, now much older, like others characters.

I love how Bongoo or whatever his name is asks "Aren't you lonely without your mother and father" with absolutely no intonation indicating he was repeating a question he just answered. It should have been "Aren't YOU lonely without your mother and father?"

If this was remade I'd add in additional lines of dialogue for these two dudes. Bangoo is awesome. If these Namco characters had color coded subtitles I'd choose blue for Rock, and brown for his adopted son Bangoo.

Here's some Namco trivia regarding the two endings of Rock involving every spoken line of English dialogue as well as sounds which are as listed: (In both of his endings)- Rock: This is the Soul Edge. I wonder if my mother and father are still alive. They might be alive. If I keep this sword, some day I may see them again. (In his first ending)- Rock: I'm sorry, Bangoo. Bangoo: Roooooooock!! Rock: Please forgive me, Bangoo! (In his second ending)- Rock: But Bangoo's parents weren't... Guaaaaaaaaaaahhh!! Guaaaaaaaaaaahhh!! Baaangoooooooo!! Bangoo, aren't you lonely without your mother and father? Bangoo: I'm not lonesome anymore because you're back. Rock, don't you feel lonely without your mother and father? Rock: This earth gave me my life to live with you, therefore the earth is my only true parent. Bangoo: Hmm, I don't know, that's a tough one. But, I know you'll stay with me from now on, right? Rock: Ah, that's right. Bangoo: Yeah! Alright!

Cuting nice characters like li long rock hwang really emotive and replacing them by copies with manga style well the first game was really mature with its characters and then progressively became cheezy with fantaisy armors like in saint seya.
