i’m going to be so embarrassed when we play this on friday. imagine breaking a rib and the band starts playing this. a group of middle schoolers start emoting in the stands. i move my instrument ever so slightly and bust my lip. there’s blood everywhere. and he’s still emoting.

Underscoring tenor sax is something I see all the time and I absolutely despise. Literally everyone else is playing. Throw them a bone, it's not that hard.

Tenor is used for support. Very rarely do you see music written with a decent chart. Same with tuba and bass clarinet.
