Whats most beautiful/tragic about this peice is that the creators knew this might be the last Soul Calibur so they are giving it everything they have. Almost like a last voyage that goes out strong. When you compare it to the first games 'this is the beggining of something special' vibe, it works nicely.

That was and will never happen. For one, Disney owns Star Wars now, and unless you approach them with millions of dollars you will never have the Star Wars IP in your hands. Second, Nintendo is HIGHLY protective of their IPs, they will never allow their mascot to coexist with another guest character. Lastly, every other guest character except for Tekken requires you fork up quite a bit of money, and requires licensing agreement deals to alter the character in any way. For example, in Soul Caliber 5, Ezio was not allowed to be touched by any update because Ubisoft only agreed to the initial contract agreement, any alterations required a new contract agreement, which was why Ezio remained OP after many nerf updates to other characters. It is simply too much work to get too many guest characters. If done wrongly it can kill your game. Just look at why Mortal Kombat 9 got pulled off of shelves and can no longer be sold, Warner Bros lost the license to Freddy Kruger.

I love how the series' character select screens all use the same drums and general rhythm, but all have a distinct feel. This theme in particular sounds very "endearing". This feels like a return to the days where games were a passion and meant something. Dreamcast and the PS2 were master class systems and this theme sounds like something you would have heard playing Soul Calibur on them.
