The neat thing about all of them hating each other is that their product always came out good because no one hesitated to say "naw dude, that's shitty"

Back in the 90's, I only like a couple of their songs. But today, they all sound so damn great. Especially today compared to everything else.

I just went down to Baltimore with my dad and bro-in-law. This song was playing in my head the whole time. I'm also currently missing a girl. :/

@kilbair These guys were amazing, especially M. Doughty. In their heyday, they had a unique and stand-out sound, and wrote really interesting songs that still sound cool.

Every member of Soul Coughing absolutely despised each other, and frontman Mike Doughty, who's been running a pretty sweet solo career for the last decade, says that he doesn't regret splitting the band up at all. Your comment makes Mike Doughty sad. :[
@rheaanthea12 жыл бұрын
The band's genesis was originally in hot water, but it's easily possible that the shakiness was mainly between Doughty ans the other band members, or just between Doughty and one of the crew, with the other as a neutral.
@FGSRFunLol12 жыл бұрын
That really couldn't be true since the bassist and drummer had a band together post-Cough.

All of the solo stuff sounds better than the original stuff. They sound like demos.

@crimsonaterdaeus8 жыл бұрын
Approachable1 Not really. I get that it's experimental but that doesn't mean good.
@Jamiiism8 жыл бұрын
While everyone is entitled to their opinion, I think the original, experimental weird stuff is much better. It is more complex, interesting and in the case of El Oso, more furious. I didn''t personally like Mike's version of this song or infact much of Circles Super Bon Bon because it turned these songs into traditional singer-songwriter songs which, unfortunately, are not very interesting.
