This is a powerful movie for so many reasons. It has so very strong & universal lessons. However, im not a fan of the end of the movie. She made a difference for her people but she would have moved them further if she had become the Prince's wife. It would have broken so many beliefs & stigma of those who look down on them as outcasts. It would have allowed her to not only shatter the beliefs of the original virgin that their woman was not good enough for marriage. Her vowing to die a virgin will do what? Will it achieve or make a change outside of her personal belief? I think the writer did an awesome job. Powerful acting & plot twist. I just wish someone would have made. this point & open her eyes beyond the understanding of a child. The sins of the father should never be that of the son's.

I enjoyed the movie because of the development of the drama. In addition, there were several well-developed story lines including the elderly man that we later knew was the king, the tradition and implications of tradition and the consequences of deceit.
