She's a lovely woman who was very nervous at the beginning of the interview, she knows how her culture is and how she has gone through rough times to raise her kids. Oh I’m so glad I watched this. Because of social media, I too was left with a negative impression of this family. I knew nothing about Dalton until he was on Britain Go Talent...routed for him to win but quickly got turned off because of the family drama. Glad to hear he went to rehab. Thanks be to God that he and his mom relationship, is on a fresh and better path...and it’s happening because of LOVE!!❤️ Thanks Ms Simone for sharing this, you’re doing a great job for Jamaica. I feel renewed in my mind as well ...I now see a beautiful relationships of a blessed mom and son. I just want to thank God for Simone this is such a grand time for Dalton and his mommy .God is really good and I pray he heals all the pain this has caused both of you . I'm glad he spoke and advocates for the Truth, because there's healing in operating from truth as well as time. But sometimes everyone isn't awarded the luxury of a lot of time so accountability, understanding and genuine communication is important even after the cameras stop rolling and you return to familiar territory and the environment of where the hurt took place because that's where the healing and radical change matters the most

My son don't listen either..he likes to have his own way but I have to be firm as a mother.

You have to be firm but loving. Don't try to beat it or argue it out of him. Sometimes you have to let down your guard and hug him in the middle of his rebellion. Above all, pray and ask God for what you need to do to win back his respect. Sometimes it gets harder before it gets better. But no matter how he treats you. Be firm but loving. If he is rude to you, you might say to him, "that really hurts my feelings when you act that way ". Try to get him to tell you or someone that you both trust what he's going through. It would surprise you. Children don't just start to act up overnight. He dealing with his own stressors. Try to set time aside for just you and him dinner, a walk, movie, anything. Don't try to force him to talk during that time, just be patient and keep doing it, he will eventually talk to you. We have to put aside our own feelings and emotions and fight for our children. I will send up a prayer for you and him. Look at Dalton I am sure that if his mother knew that he had that greatness locked away inside of him she would have been more patient with her son. You don't know what the devil is trying to prevent your son from becoming. Don't join the devil against your son. We overcome evil with good. FIGHT MOTHER FIGHT. On your knees. God loves you!
