reading comments while bored in case someone mentioned this line so 3 years later I’ll try explain, one of my favourite lines ever Calls Bobby simba in the boneyard, in the lion king he has to be rescued from the hyenas because he’s been careless and gone where he shouldn’t have, like Bobby taking the battle Says Briggzy probably sold him his drugs cos he’ll perform better on them, even though they’re meant to be his “pride” or family, looking after him, but still enabling his drug use. Pride is also the team he’s on in PB. Then “brought a monkey for pride rock and it’s barely holding him up” is even though he bought the drugs (the rock) with a monkey (cockney slang for a certain amount of money) it’s “barely holding him up” meaning he’s not even giving a good performance while on coke. And that all aligns with the scene in the lion kings where the monkey stands at pride rock and holds up simba to all of the animals Oh and “powder for his head, it’s time to sober him up” the monkey puts some white powder on simbas head, and that’s a metaphor for Bobby using coke, obviously There are even more comparisons to be made, it’s actually crazy
