Starts I Recommend in Princes of Darkness for CK3

My favorite Demon objective is to be forgiven and return to Heaven. Edit: For those unaware of how to get this option to show up in-game, when you are choosing your backstory for your Demon when you get the dynasty legacy that lets you do so, you have to pick all the "good" choices. Basically, all the ones that said you wanted to help people. Doing that will all five allows the option of forgiveness and repentance, and you have to get your "demon" level to 0 by not doing evil acts.

@@Soul_Tomato Yeah, it’s an objective not widely known. Had tons of hours and only found out randomly while checking the Change Logs once. It’s a looong process to get it done, but I like the lore implications.

My personal suggestion would be Ayr the True Brujah, duke of upper Burgundy, and (probably) the only True Brujah in Europe, not only that he's a world renowned blacksmith and several great vampires use his craft as artifacts. Being an old friend to Charlemagne, he's in a very precarious position, having only one province that's his own, with a lot of vassals taking up precious land. Though if you can secure independence from a weak France (Courts of the Rose) and become a vassal to the defacto HRE, you can then secure France as an HRE-dominated state in its own "struggle for Iberia" type game mechanic, which allows you to convert it to your religion Entelechia (if you decide to stick with it, it can be any other religion), and then you're free to go down the Med and secure Carthage, expose Troille for her diablerie, all the good stuff. P.S. - about the last varangian, he's a patron character. I really wanted to stress that, as those characters are more often than not overturned to the extreme and playing as them feels cheap to a large extent. For example - a shape shifter race giantess with wings in Sami, stats out the wazoo and some Mary Sue backstory, though thankfully she couldn't hold a candle to the demon of lust in Bjarmaland so she wasn't much of an eyesore.

It truly depends on the source book and edition. All will agree werewolves are THE apex predators but depending on the source material they either are dispatched by a group of vampires or only an elder can match them

What bookmark would you recommend playing on? I've didn't realize you had your "all vampire" map, the supernatural + inquisition map, the supernatural + inquisitors + fae map. They all kind of eat into each other, which is understandable. I've noticed the inquisition still exist on the first start date, at least in the county of Brixen where the hunter Karl is on the other dates.

@@Soul_Tomato I mean more-so just the Dark Ages: Vampire, Hunters and Hunted, and the Dark Ages: Fae tabs. Like how Ventrue Anatolia gets divided so now there's an Earthbound in the Hunters and Hunted start, or how Leopold doesn't exist in the Dark Ages: Vampire map.

My personal favourite is Dracula. Because...he's Dracula. He's a Gen Five(?)ish Tzimisce with a pretty close Gen Four to diablerie. I've not played CK3 in a while, I can't remember if he's pre or post antediluvian hunt, but he'd be the perfect fellow for it.

with roads to power you could also play a knight of bloody grail, or a via (latin for chivalry), wandering vampire knights doing arthurian fantasy style things, the grail guys also looking to find the grail and prove themselves worthy of it's salvation

I like Razkolnya "diligent Autokrat", center of Europe, steward (if only tier 2), meaning it is slightly easier to get to architect, her house bonus boosts home combat advantage, so as long as you catch the ai in your territory you can get some big swings, starts with a duchy capital AND directly neighbors another duchy capital, which you can easily take, because you have access to conguest CB, this is doubly important, because you have a special event when touring capital to boost its development , so you can swiftly get to 15 than 20 dev to upgrade the duchy building, and also since your second province neighbors your first, you can blood tax it and it will still develop. You can easily get good income and levy that way. Then in more long term, you have one decision as polish tzimisce, which gives you a special building and a strong claim on black voyevodeship, once you take the voyevodeship you can do the generic tzimisce mission and get strong claim on fiefs of the black cross, and by this point you rule central europe Finally you are likely to come to blows against the tremere and you can steal a gold mine from them, and you DO want to beat up tremere both to complete the tzimisce objective AND because as tzimisce you can Antediluvian hunt Tremere himself, and killing of his kids + taking wienna helps a lot with that. Also diablerie to up your generation level. So you can eventually have a young third, 100 dread (dracula castle or some othere unigue nearby, cathedral of flesh not needed), access to conguest CB, at least two extremelly high development duchy capitals, and most of Central Europe under your iron fist

Played alot of vampires werewolves and demons in this mod. Always a blast. I personally struggle with the mummies. Religious differences between them and most of the people the types(some synergy with werewolves) makes it tough it get good vassals and knights.

You not only can murder them, you can consume them body and soul.

yes you can kill people, but one, certain character have their own mechanics so that might be it, two you can kill and you can KILL, these are two separate things

Yes, its called diablerie. And yes, you can go crazy and perhaps even taken over by the vampire you just killed. It depends on your generation and how powerful the vampire's soul was. It's how Mithras survived the purge of London in the modern nights
