Soul Calibur 2, 3, & 6 are my top 3 in the series. 2 was the introduction to guest characters, the Master’s quest is the best thing of the game, & I loved how they got freaking Heihachi from Tekken for PS2, since both games are Namco property. 3 was pretty great, best part is the path to Night Terror path for each character, which can be very difficult when you’re not trying to get beaten in a match. 6 was great way to revisit events that happened between Soul Edge & Soul Calibur 2, the main story that focused on Kilik & Xianghua was a blast, & I loved how Cassandra is visit by the her from the original timeline, since this one is a fresh reboot.

SC 3 was my favorite it just had the best soundtrack, voice acting, costumes, movesets, endings, stages, choose your adventure story, and castle strategy campaign. Also the character models were there highest quality in terms of costumes no male had the same body model, it looked damn good for a PS2 game SCVI ran like shit on Xbox one , hopefully they fixed it but I hated the voice acting but maybe cause I play with English voices on, I don't know I considered it the 2nd worst in the franchise which probably sounds too harsh, but when I hold I hear Siegfried it's like the voice actor didn't even try to sound rough But I'm a braindead Nightmare Siegfried Talim Link main and I played mostly played single player or against my brother, you had to map the back buttons to do the specials easier I hated 4 I thought 5 was better I didn't like them taking out parrying though and hyper meter is dumb they ruined the game without that it's fake balance like revenge meter in Street Fighter IV but I can't act like my main Nightmare didn't have the best busted special when SCV launched SCV also had the best Maxi and a bunch of cool new characters plus Devil Jin and Ezio the 2nd best guest characters in the franchise I also don't like they added clothes falling off characters that was the a dumb feature IV was basically when Soul Calibur jumped the shark , padded out content I should give SCVI another shot but I miss SCIII I wish they would rerelease it on next gen so other people could experience it in all of it's glory When For Honor launched its beta it gave me more Soul Calibur nostalgia then SCVI

Played SC1 Dreamcast when I was testing an emulator. Its the perfect Arcade fighter for me (pick-up-and-play) but as a single player game, it really lacks in content. Which do you prefer for single player only content : SC2 or SC3? I thinking of trying one of them for modes other than arcade. I had got SC6 from a Humble Bundle long ago but never really tried it beyond couple of arcade matches. Is the single player stuff good enough for it?

SC3 is incredibly packed when it comes to content. So many singleplayer modes that dwarf the rest of the series.

In addition, SC6 is very well for singleplayer content. Far more to do than SC5.

I am a Nightmare and Taki main and SC3 was quite balanced. Me and my friends played it for years. Now that is if you don't use that one game breaking bug. Every match we played was a close call match.

It's more of the imbalance against the AI and some of the created styles were just insanely OP. The lance especially was incredibly fast and had a ton of range.

Soul Calibur 3 and 5 are the worst two games out of the entire franchise for me. Fighting against the CPU characters during both of the games most difficult levels is ridiculous and annoying. Fighting against the CPU characters most difficult levels in Soul Calibur 3 and 5 it's like pulling teeth and having a root canal. And doing guard impacts and other defenses on sc5 is a load of Sh** 😮😮😮. SC6 is my absolute favorite... But I wish it would have a lot of modes like SC3.
