I hope that they'll bring back the legends from SC1 to SC4. They should have a story mode for custom characters also.

Malik Profit Kilik, Xianghua, and Maxi are the most likely. Since they're the main focus in the first Soul Calibur and this game takes place during that period.

Would love to see a Soul Calibur for PC some day. It's one of the only "mainstream" fighting games that has yet to be released here. It's also the only one I actually liked too.

They are making a reboot, not necesarily following SC1 plot exactly as it was.

Since this character select screen got out, everyone seems to be looking for quantity instead of quality. 20 characters are more than enough for the base game, better to have fully fleshed characters than rushed ones with something broken to exploit. People are forgetting that DLC chars could potentially happen but I kinda hope that's not the case; I personally hope they even start us off with 10 characters and let us unlock the rest of the cast by playing the game instead of buying dlc, like how past SC games did things

Yes, and no. 20 characters also limits the probabilty of your favorite character to appear, unless you want to go like mvci where one of the producers said peole care about functions and not the characters, lol. Anyway it has been confirmed this is just a place holder, the game will have more characters, which I hope, because with all the amount of characters in SC, 20 is really low.

Gonzalo Herranz I'm sure the recolors are just placeholders for now, since secondary costumes have always been a thing. They're probably gonna wait for more characters to be revealed before they show more costumes. But as far as the character count, I'm concerned.

Soul Edge from PS1 is apart from Soul Calibur series! LOL! Looks like the comparison of Mario from arcade on 1983 and Super Mario Bros. francise on 1985.

relu419 If you actually knew as much as you think you do about this topic you would know that Soul Calibur takes place 3 years after the original Soul Edge, so it's pretty much a direct sequel with a name change. Back in the day there were less characters and content due to hardware limitations, this is not the case anymore so there is no excuse. And again, stop talking out of your ass.
