This is Ford City Mall in Chicago. The explanation behind this whole thing is simple. So the mall was built in 1963 with two floors. The downstairs floor (one explored in this video) had stores like GNC and jewelry stores. But in 2008 the mall was going through a huge renovation. In 2011 the downstairs level was closed and the retail stores were moved upstairs. They blocked off the bottom floor after. They also had a big parking lot next to the bottom floor. in recroom
