Son goku is the japanese reading of the same character name as sun wukong. Sun wukong is mandarin of the same character. Dragonball goku is based on the same lore originally.

Theres an alternate story of wukong where wukong dies during the journey and a monkey that represents his ill intentions finishes the journey. I think his name was black macabe or something. Hes basically an incarnation of sun wukongs desire and struggle.

That is not shadow clone jutsu. Son goku aka sun wukong has always been able to take a lock of his hair and blow on it, making each strand of hair into a clone of himself

Fun fact: in the lore of Sun Wukong he is the most broken of all broken of character powers, thousands of layers of IMMORTALITY (reason why it's abbreviated is because it's not a joke it's true) first immortality he ascended as a Taoist immortality, second he delete, he LITERALLY DELETED his name in the book of the death, his third immortality came later after he was invited by the heavenly host the Jade Emperor and he was appointed as a stable boy in the heabenly palace, in his fit of rage, the Heavenly Jade Emperor tried his best to quel Wukong's hissy fit, he made him the watchdog of the Heavenly Peaches of Immortality and you know how it goes, every peaches grow and riped every 100 years (dunno if that what it was anyways) he ate all of the individual heavenly peaches and after that feast he walk around in the palace and he stumbled into the room full of Gourds and not just any Gourds, Gourds of Immortality Pill, he ate, HE ATE ALL OF IT and gain immense power from it all, Heavenly hosts and all gods and demigods alike banded together to stop Wukong which it tooked all of the Heavenly guards and gods and demigods to stop him and bounded him and thrown him inside the de-immortalizing furnace, but he managed to escape and for some reason he got more powerful from the furnace as the furnace itself tooked out all of the minor immortal powers and in his run he found a soothing potion of immortality like WHAT!?!? Then he waged war again against the Heavenly host The Jade Emperor, and the Emperor asks ASKS the Buddha for help to stop to stop Wukong, and long story short the Buddha tricked Wukong into somersaulting in Buddha's palm, so the Buddha trapped him inside of his palm and turned into a mountain hense the name of some specific mountain name Buddha's palm trapped inside of the mountain for 500 years until he was recruited by a monk? Tripitaka into his pilgrimage to india hense the name "Journey to the west" as Wukong does his best to redeem himself, and he did redeem himself and earned the name the Fighting-Buddha and also the name The Great Sage (although he was already calling himself that but he's no wise man or monkey in his early years). Edit: as you can see Wukomg fighting at the cloud, that's him fighting at the front door of Heaven itself. Edit: ha! Stellar Blade 3A? Ha! You're funny man

Fun fact for the final scene: it shoud be the lid of Taishang Laojun's alchemical furnace, the thing where Wukong got his fierce and golden eyes.

That ring at the end is the crown of immortality. It shrinks on his head as he wears it. Iirc the shrinking is punishment. Edit:read replies for corrections

@@bruhitsmikeYT In the original story he had 72 forms/transformation he could take (well until he got infinite) but i think it could be treated as a catalog of tranformations that you pick and choose from, more like ashes of war in elden ring, like lets say you can have a max of 2-3 transformtaions at any time that are switchable from the "inventory".

@@bruhitsmikeYT I compared the possible way they could implement the transformation mechanic in BMW to Elden Ring's ash of war system becouse if they indeed intended to go with something like 72 transformations it would not be possible to do without them being switchable, there are not enough buttons to access 72 forms so i think this mechanic will be more similar to an ability like Elden Ring's ashes of war or spells/incantations to make a practical example.
