@@Silvester2016 Not really. The type of music that we refer to as synthwave these days is not very similar to actual 70's & 80's music. If you go back and listen to the music of those decades, you'll find some similarities in instrumentation and composition, but it's still very different to what we call synthwave today . New synthwave uses elements of 70's & 80's pop and synth music but it's its own thing, and not a return or revival of anything. Oddly enough, it still evokes a feeling of nostalgia in a lot of people. Nostalgia for a time and place that never really existed. I think that's why it's so charming and popular.

Hey @SoulSearchAndDestroy Chillwave is my favorite genre in large part to your mixes. I've been listening to your channel for 6 years, and I'll keep on listening for as many more as the fates allow. If I was making a movie, I'd hire you for the soundtrack, no question. I don't know how you find all this awesome music, but thanks for years of sharing it!
