Guy Sebastian has a beautiful soul which comes through clearly in his songwriting and in every performance. He was awarded The Order Of Australia in the Queens honour list for his social welfare programs, setting up the non profit Guy Sebastian Foundation in assisting people affected by domestic violence as well as his contribution to the world of arts. There is a follow up video to this when the children get their own back surprising him at a theatre with his two sons coming out on stage singing to him. Very cute.

The song was inspired by a family member who was suffering with mental health and was brave enough to speak up and share his battle with depression. Guy was moved to write a song, hoping to also spread the message of hope to those who may be struggling themselves. Peace out.

thx so much for this. I'm a (ahem) mature aged Aussie man who's never really given Guy Sebastion much thought (this style wasn't my cup of tea ...but nor was Adele's and I listen to her now). So I'll educate myself on some of his music - it certainly is one great voice

Guy's Foundation is funding a program to assist students with emotional issues following Covd lockdowns etc and peer pressure etc. Guy and one of his friends even did a marathon walk to raise money to help fund the program and managed to raise over $1 million. It's called Open Parachute and it's now in over 11 thousand schools and is free to all students who participate. Great reaction SSS and that's so what Guy is about...He's a 'GIVER' beautiful heart of gold .

We are lucky in Australia 🇦🇺 The artists love and respect the audiences as much as they the artist He wrote that 1st song for his musical friend who took his life it's why he named it choir and when you listen to lyrics make sense The 2nd song he wrote for his wife who suffers depression it's titled stand by you Also did another called believer He also did one for our Anzacs which is military on Anzac day remembrance day titled battle scars in his home studio during covid live on line for everyone as everyone where not aloud in public Guy is super talented his in the range of two other Aussie ledgens John Farnham and Jimmy barnes both adored by Aussie's Guys definitely up their with these guys he's the modern day one John has 5 decades of no1s and rarely left Australia as could bare being away from his wife and family Jimmy has 4 decade no1s and still singing in his 50s and only getting better like agood wine or cheese Guy is like them exceptional and love what they do and audiences all very community oriented Always live for all these artists and then we have many females as good very blessed here for small population But it makes good artists otherwise you'll n3ver survive here and Aussie's as general are pretty humble people as the country can be harsh at times and by sticking and working together we survive it's harshness Thanks for showing our artists cheers 🦘🇦🇺👍 hope you have a good Xmas with loved ones

Wow, that was absolutely beautiful as well, so another triple for you you today! I definitely will pay more attention to this guy, merely knew his name and maybe saw one or two reactions (not to this, never saw and heard the song...) to his appearances in talent shows? Don't even remember exactly, but this really was not only a great gesture by him to appear in front of this children, surprise them and sing for them, but it was a truly wonderful song as well and his voice is absolutely precise and beautiful, how he goes in and out of his falsetto is amazing... thank you for again making my day, bless you and Guy Sebastian, beautiful people you are! Guy was the winner of the first 'Australian Idol' in 2001. He was young then, but he won easily as it was obvious he was going to be greater than all that. He is a superstar here in Australia and everything he's ever sung is worth hearing. He has been a judge on 'The Voice' here for quite a while too.
