I usually don't comment on videos but this one is amazing. I've seen numerous videos on youtube but this one explains the whole microphone thing in a detail what is exceptional. I've learnt a lot now and I understand my mics much better. Thank you for the video!

Chapeau! I would like to compliment you with this clear explanation of various types of microphones in this video. I have done many microphone measurements when I worked at PolyGram. I did this this for my collegues at DG, Philips and DECCA at the time. Therefore I am glad to see this truthful presentation on KZbin.

Nice videos, I got a quick question I'd appreciate you answered. I currently got a soundproofed booth, similar to yours. I got a Zoom S2T and a Rode NT1A I mostly do voiceovers and want to offer vocal recording to music artists. Debating between these 4 mics, I want a significant overall better quality with the least noise floor and all without breaking the bank. Mics: Shure SM7B, EV E320, EV E20, CAD 100S, NEUMAN 102 I know I need to get a fethead if I get a dynamic and I dont mind if they offer great quality and best bang for your buck I was just suggested to get the Tascam UH-7000, seems very good. I could get the EV E320, FETHEAD and this Tascam UH-7000 .... or any of the other mics mentioned or I could get a Neuman 102 and a cheap Interface like the Focusrite 2i2 or maybe even just use my Zoom s2t or Zoom h5 What would you do? Even though I "can" get the Neuman 102, it'd be through a loan so will only do it if its far better than all the other ones and if mentioning it to my clients will help in charging more than if I had a mic they probably own themselves I can get the Neuman in Europe for about 180$ cheaper I really like the CAD 100S and Tascam 7000 combo.... Looking forward to your reply! Thanks!
