Hi, its a very helpful video thanks, I have a question, in the POST command ?slices=5, why the slices value is 5 ? is there any limit or why we use this. if we have max_docs=10000 what should be the slices value? thanks in advance.

If we execute reindexing for records more than 8 million, elasticsearch reindexes without interruption in the backend by creating a task? . We have a prod elastic with such data but no such data in npe for one of the indexes

We have done reindex api for 100M items without issue yes it will work in backend

@@SoumilShah Thanks for the quick reply. One more suggestion required. How to decide on the number of nodes for an elasticsearch cluster. We have now 8 nodes ( 2master and 6 data nodes) with 3 million records. Now we have an incoming of another 5 million records. How do we decide on the same?
