What a strangely wonderful idea. I loved it. One question..... Where are all the birds? I can't walk out my door without seeing and hearing birds.

That's a good question! My guess is just that you don't hear as many in areas without many trees like in much of the south west, where the majority of birds I saw were ravens. Moving back east you can hear more, eg. in the Tennessee and Virginia bits. I do like watching for and listening to the birds all up the east coast, but it was a new outdoor experience for me to hear true quiet out west.
